I know I'm the last person to be signing up for the Bing thing, but can someone tell me (or provide a link) that explains what I need to do? I have Firefox. Any sign-up bonuses?
All I do for Bing is to sign up at the Bing homepage and it'll keep my points in the upper right. Every day there's a new stupid thing to click on up there (It'll be highlighted in orange), and each of those clicks give you points. If they are offering "search x for y points" you can make a folder of x bing searches and just open that whole folder in tabs but I don't feel like cheating it that much.

Bing is a sexy homepage for having a different cool landscape pic each day so it's nice to humor them.
I was in the minority that actually liked what the rebooted PoP had done and was eager to dive into the DLC once I had finished the game.

The DLC adds almost nothing to the story. You are literally headed down a narrow hallway the entire time and fighting recycled enemies from the main game. The vivid colors in the main game are replaced with repetitive wall textures. Even though the DLC isn't that long, it feels like it drags on since you're seeing the same thing over and over. Do yourself a favor and avoid that DLC regardless of what they price it at.
I was buying what Ubi was selling with the reboot as well up until the halfway point when it just felt so old and unengaging. Plus, so many tedious bits you had to restart a huge ways back if you cratered at the end. People complaining about "no deaths" didn't actually play the game.

Thanks for the DLC synopsis though. Saves me some time.

It can't be as much of a waste as the Saints Row 2 DLC. Goddamn even at half price for each of those single player missions I felt beyond gypped. Though I think eitherway the completionist in me demands I have this on my hard drive.
Hear hear.

yes, there should be a small sign up bonus, it used to be like 100+ but i think its only 40-50 points now. and all you do is search a words/letters each day for the points, it's really easy. there's also a thing you can click for an extra 3 points a day. and also if you hit the discover button theres a bunch of other little things to click on for points, i only just realized this a few months back after using it for over a year lol.

and if you'd like to help me out (referral link):

http://go.microsoft.com/?linkid=9778718&rrid=2FD306D8-6AC5-4CE5-B9B6-BC1A2F349F36

(you can also refer people for i think 20-25 points, up to 5 people)

Ended up buying all 4 games on sale this past week (seems like a first for me, aside from the Ms. Splosion Man sale), hoping the Ubi sale is decent since this DotW is kinda shitty, but even if they have the same exact stuff on sale as the PSN did, I either don't want it, or I already got it on sale. Praying for a decent selection though, maybe Scott Pilgrim's DLC since I just finished the main game.

Also, you can get 25 points per Bing Referral, up to 5, so 125 point cap which isn't too shabby. 150 Bing Points get you 100 MSP.
Recently changed to 125 bing points per 100 msp
Really? That makes it equal to the original promo of 500 bing points per 400. Thank you, redeeming ASAP, I usually hold out for the 400 increment precisely because it seemed more efficient.

Edit: Also bought Stacking's DLC, it's a lot shorter than I thought it'd be, a lot easier too. I thought it'd at least be as long or complex as one of the main levels in the game, even if it was just one, but it's just painfully short, but at least I maxed out the GS for it.

I cashed in twice, but I see your point. I can live with having wasted 50 bing points though, I think.

Yea, seems like they took away the 400 msp reward, but now you can redeem points at the same rate at least. I'm tempted to cash in too, but I kind of want to hold out in case there's another 100 for 100 sale during the holidays, especially since I don't need the points at the moment.

Sweet, looks like the various Ubisoft stuff just dropped in price. Now I finally have an excuse to grab the FC2 fortunes pack. A couple other things include From Dust for 800 and BG&E HD for 400 for those who missed the cyber monday sale. I'm sure there's more, too.
Better than the Deal of the Weak, at least.

Also, Outland is 400 and Might & Magic is 600.

Got a fresh 1600 point card for the holiday sale. Not too confident there'll be much that will be on sale that I want that I can't get cheaper on Steam.

Might and Magic is a great game, I highly recommend it. I finished it on the DS not too long ago, only took a couple of days because I couldn't put the thing down.
Alright, somebody. Tell me what's all on sale. Cater to me! :D
Looks like XBLDB has everything covered once again.

Can anyone vouch for Zeit²? I'm not picky when it comes to shmups, and I've had my eye on it for a while. My main concerns are if it at least hold my attention for a few hours, and if there are any significant differences between the console and PC versions.
Is there any possibility might and magic will drop to 400 pts? I know I won't get to it forever which is why I ask.
You really never can tell. A lot of things that were 1200 have at some point gone down to 400...even if it wasn't until the normal price became 800 (which itself doesn't happen that often) and they went on sale again. Probably eventually. But it'll likely be a while.

I'm torn on the PoP epilogue. I do kind of want to play it, and I would like to 100% the game...but damn have people been hating on it, so probably not worthwhile.
I was like, "Oh, neat, Interpol! That looks pretty cool."

Metacritic: 45.

Flaming pass.
I said those exact words in my head when I saw that this was on sale.
I'm torn on the PoP epilogue. I do kind of want to play it, and I would like to 100% the game...but damn have people been hating on it, so probably not worthwhile.
I agree completely...Although in the back of my mind I keep telling myself that this will NEVER be any cheaper. I'm going to flip a coin on this one (literally).

Is Outland really difficult? I recall enjoying the demo and thinking I would get it when it's on sale.

I've never gotten Geometry Wars and want it, but it goes on sale routinely, right?

Also, for those that played From Dust, about how long is it? I really, really, really loved the demo. I hope there are a bunch of missions after where the demo ends.

ok, I am working on a temp list until something official goes up. I wouldn't expect much since it's new dash day too.

Looks like a few GoD drops as well, I wonder if those are price cuts or sales?

Really glad I just got my points from Bestbuy yesterday. Might spend more than I did during BF/CM.

Wow. That was still not enough; ended up buying another ten points from MS. Bought Outland and the two Assassin Creed DLCs on sale.

I've gotten to the final boss. Haven't gotten around to beating it but that's mainly due to finals. Wonderful game and not hard at all IMO.

How is Panzer General?

Edit: also how is the Escalation Pack for Endwar? I have not played that game in years it seems and I was wondering if it was worth getting back to the game for...

Also is Bloody Good Time really a good time? I was not impressed when I first looked at it.

Ok, temp lists is up minus the GoD sales/drops that aren't published by Ubisoft. I'll add links after class.

Thanks again to Splyon for running xbldb.com and making my job easier.

I vowed never to bother after the way the game ended
when everything you just spent 10 hours doing gets undone in a few seconds because the Price is a dumbass
.

I want From Dust, but I am committed to actually playing games right now instead of buying them, so I'll happily wait for 50% off. (OP, it says 25% when it's actually 33%).
Also, for those that played From Dust, about how long is it? I really, really, really loved the demo. I hope there are a bunch of missions after where the demo ends.
It's tough to say. There are 13 main story chapters (each with their respective collectables) and 30 challenge maps so I'm gonna ballpark it at 12 hours for the story and from what I hear the challenges can add an extra 15+ hours on that.

It's safe to say that if you enjoyed the trial you'll enjoy the full game, but be forewarned it can be frustrating at times. Most of the frustration usually stems from an error by the player, but there are times when your tribe's AI sort of does their own thing.
Everything might be going great, then you realize you accidentally isolated one of your villages which now has lava creeping towards it. Logically, you create a dirt bridge with the Earth power so they can get across, but the AI decides it's a more sound option to run head on into the lava and die because your bridge was just a little too steep for them. Thank god for save states.

I digress, it's worth the 800 in my opinion though it really depends on how big of a cheapass some people might be. There's still a chance it could drop even lower when the holiday sales arrive though, right?

Of course Interpol goes on sale after about a month ago I bought it when bored because I didn't expect it to ever go on sale.
I'll get Bloody Good Time, Panzer General, and the End War DLC.
Might and Magic is a great game, I highly recommend it. I finished it on the DS not too long ago, only took a couple of days because I couldn't put the thing down.
I concur. I'm STILL playing it on the DS. Highly addictive. I was going to get it from XBLA, but a buddy from work gave it to me for the DS.

Totally recommend Outland for only $5. & seeing as Beyond Good & Evil is on sale for $5, I recommend that as well if you missed out last week. & I guess Geometry Wars 2 if you haven't gotten that yet.

Is the Prince of Persia DLC something that goes on sale relatively often, or should I pick it up now? The game itself is still sitting in my backlog but I intend to play it soon.
Of course Interpol goes on sale after about a month ago I bought it when bored because I didn't expect it to ever go on sale.

How do you like Interpol? Isn't it a hidden object game? Are the Achievements easy?

I like the idea of Bloody Good Time and from the demo it seems executed well enough that 200 is a price that even a single afternoon of fun can justify. The problem is that the game never had people playing. That's why I won't be picking it up. I'm one less person on the servers and one fewer reason for someone else to pick it up. I'm part of the unfortunate cycle that has probably ruined that game and led to poor sales, but this seems like the reality for multiplayer only XBLA games that don't take off immediately. It's too bad.

is the Assassin's Creed II DLC worth picking up? I got the game recently (have never played it before, nor any AC game), and wondering if I should grab the DLC now that it's on sale.

I already have ACII Platinum Hits, so just getting the DLC would be cheaper. Plus isn't the 360 version region-locked anyway? In any case, it would be cheaper for me to buy the DLC while on sale. The question is is the DLC worth it at any price?

It's really hard for me to say no to $2.50 games. I'm in for Bloody Good Time (assuming you can play with bots, I'm sure online is non-existant) and probably will end up with Panzer General, even though I didn't understand it when I was playing the demo.

Bought outland when it was on sale a few months back and it's easily been one of my best gaming experiences all year... DEFINiTELY worth 400 MSP!

Damn, Ubi is smashing MS in the quality of sales here. I am in for Panzer and PoP DLC..want to pull the trigger on From Dust, but I would prefer it on Steam and will wait to see how cheap it gets during the holiday sale.

Another +1 for Outland. It was on sale a couple months ago and is probably the best 5 bucks I've spent on XBL marketplace for a standalone game. It's VERY well done, very polished, VERY hard (which is good).
