If I go to buy Lucha Fury from the Trial it says it costs -1. Should I try it? No idea what happens when you try to buy a game in this situation.

Went to go check it out on the Xbox marketplace through both console and webpage, and it's not listed on either. Perhaps it's been delisted?

Yea, someone posted about it a page or two ago. I still have the demo up, was hoping it could still be purchased that way. I love having delisted games. This game was okay and I would have gladly bought for 400msp if/when it ever went on sale but it's already gone it seems. Awful fast for a delisting since it only came out a few months ago.

If you try to buy a -1 game it'll just say you don't have enough points, like a million or something.

I think Dream Chronicles was only on XBLA for like 2 months before it was delisted.

Yeah. Dream Chronicles and Diner Dash only lasted a few months as well.

I have the smash tv demo in my history and can still download the demo. Won't let me buy it full even though it says it costs 0.

It will just fail on you. I don't think it's possible to buy any delisted games through previously downloaded demoes. And if I remember correctly, Dream Chronicles was a search & find game, like in Highlights magazine. I believe it was pretty awful.

de Blob 2 - 1600 Microsoft Points ($19.99) - 50% off -Fight Night Round 4 - 1600 Microsoft Points - 25% off

Ugh, i was super excited about this, but when i opened the page, it shows £39.99 (over 4000 MSP). Looks like it's US only? I'm from EU.

Some good stuff in the Ubisoft 12/6 sale. Will probably pick up some AC dlc, maybe Outland. Oh wait, that's right, I won't pick up anything right now because I can't connect to xbox live. Thanks dashboard update!

Anyone get From Dust? I played the demo and enjoyed it, but the sale seems kinda small and I can't imagine it's a very long game. thoughts?
Panzer general worth 200 MSP?
Bought it for 800 at release and easily got my money's worth. Whole-heartedly recommended, unless you don't like strategy/card games.

those are my thoughts exactly - 50% off or bust

After all is said and done, from this sale I picked up geometry wars, actually a lot more fun than I thought it would be. I am not one for retro gaming, but Its really addicting and bright. The demo does not give the game full credit, there are 6 different modes, all wide creative variants of the same mechanics. My personal favorite is pacifism, really addicting mode.
I 100% recommend this game, its a must have arcade title imo.

Also picked up outland first day of the sale, I played a demo of it awhile back and have been waiting for a sale.

I actually wasnt very impressed with from dust, especially at 33% off, maybe I would reconsider it at 400 MSP
What's better, Bloody Good Time or Outland?
I don't know how to answer that without knowing your preferences, but Bloody Good Time is (I believe) multiplayer only. So, unless a lot of people grab it in this sale and fall in love with it, it may be unplayable.

Any opinions on the Brotherhood Da Vinci DLC? I'm not really interested in the multiplayer stuff, just single player and achievements. Is it lengthy?
Any opinions on the Brotherhood Da Vinci DLC? I'm not really interested in the multiplayer stuff, just single player and achievements. Is it lengthy?
Worth it, I paid full price and loved it. Arguably one of the best story sequences and tombs of the game.

You can play Bloody Good Time with bots, so there is some single player. But there's not campaign or even missions, just regular play with bots and work towards achievements.

I don't have a lot of experience with Bloody Good Time, but Outland is easily twice as good as BGT and worth double the points. I'd recommend both, but if you can only get 1, get Outland.
you really do have to let go of old habits to embrace how it's done now. it's just the anxiety of totally changing everything. the only familiar thing is the guide menu and that even has some changes. People talk about how the old blades dashboard was intuitive to them. But that's because they were used to it. I didn't get a 360 until 2009 when the blades dashboard was gone. Before that, I had played at my friends' places and at the store and the blade design confused me. I'd just tell my friend to just load the damn game. It's not intuitive at all but people got used to its design.

like my friend was griping about how slow it was to move around the new dashboard via the thumbstick but I told him to use the bumpers and he felt sheepish afterward.

and then he'd rattle off one gripe after another and then I told him how it's supposed to be done in the new dash. and then he was starting to feel comfortable after he knew how to do things. a lot of people are so used to familiarity even if familiarity is less efficient.

I was lucky as I've had over a month to play with the dashboard (I was in the beta dashboard program).
You wrote this whole post about adapting to change, yet the example you used diqualifies your opinion; how can you comment on NXE vs Blades when in your own words you never had the proper time to adjust to blades?

I remember Live on the original Xbox, I remember the Blades and I remember when NXE first came and IMO the Blades system worked better. I am 100% used to what they have now, but I preferred Blades over the avatar centric NXE which is now being replaced by something else. Some times it is not as simple as dropping old habits, it's about change not always being a good thing, especially when we don't have a choice in the matter.

whatever, I'm sure I'll get used to this new system as I did NXE, but there is a very real possibility that MS will just completely screw up with one of these updates and we will be left with an inferior dash. This IS MS we are talking about. If however this new dash is faster than what we have now, and you would know how much slower it is had you spent an adequate amount of time with the Blades system, then I will welcome the change.

While I didn't mind the blades and they were easy enough to use. I thought they were fugly and was glad to have the NXE. But yes, it doesn't just matter with "getting rid of old habits". This new dashboard may work better for some than others because of the different things they do. For example, traversing the game marketplace is a bigger pain in the ass now then it was with NXE, but if you don't traverse the marketplace then that becomes a non-issue. That will greatly affect your experience.

I haven't seen anyone mention it and I didn't see it in the OP, but TMNT 1989 Arcade is on sale for 200 points. I got it through the Ubisoft sale tab in the games marketplace, in the arcade section. It'll scroll through and you'll see it pop up last.

Haven't begun playing it yet but this makes me want the dlc. Hmm

Not seeing it. And wasn't that game delisted? Are you in the US?

EDIT: I See that you're in UK. Maybe it's different there, but I'm pretty sure that game was delisted in the US.

Yep, it was delisted in the US. (Last year, I think.) It is still available in the UK (and the rest of Europe) for 200 points right now.

Cool. Thanks for the info. It's a fun game for 200 points, European CAGs would be wise to purchase it. I thought it was a million times better than Re-shelled.
i think you guys are thinking of turtles re-shelled right? Dot tell me both turtles arcade games got delisted
Yup. They're both gone in US.

I didn't know TMNT Arcade game was de-listed. :(

I would have picked it up for 200. OK maybe not, but still, it was nice having it there. I chose to pass on Double Dragon because it wasn't as good as I remembered as a kid, but a year later I changed my mind when a friend and I were in a DD mood and found out it was gone.
TMNT arcade edition is still active. It is not delisted. It was TMNT Turtles in time Re-shelled that got delisted. Just an FYI.
thats what i thought at first, but then I checked the marketplace on my xbox and I couldnt find it. I know you can buy it at gs.com and bb.com, but I would rather pay 200 MSP for it.

I don't think so, in USA anyway.

Is there a way to create a european account just to download these games?

ive never played any of the assassins creeds, but i just picked all of them up and am going to soon. Is it worth it to get all the dlc now, wait, or don't even bother?
Is there a way to create a european account just to download these games?
Yes, you can create a European Xbox Live account and use European points to buy games form that region. It's how I got Who Wants to be a Millionaire? Special Editions, a European exclusive XBLA game.

I'm wondering this too. Just got AC II and Brotherhood, about 8 hours into II. I think I will pick up the Brotherhood DLC based on chubbyninja's recommendation, but will likely skip the AC II DLC. I'd like to just get done with it and get to Brotherhood.

Anyone been downloading these games today? How are the speeds? I was having MAJOR issues downloading last night. I assume its due to the update but I'm trying to get the m&m clash demo and it was like 1% an hour. No exaggeration.

what is the point of these sy fy and epix apps... i got excited and thought they would be free tv shows / movie content (since we pay $60 a year for gold... they could give us something). but it looks like the sy fy thing just has 1 minute videos and advertising for their tv channel and epix appears to be a netflix type thing? in which case i already have netflix so whats the point?
epix appears to be a netflix type thing? in which case i already have netflix so whats the point?
I dunno. I started the free Epix trial and the movies start faster than Netflix so that's....something. I think it mentioned On Demand style TV service also, although I didn't see the option anywhere.

Wow, thanks so much for the heads up man! Bought it. :D

Pretty sure will be delisted in EU as well + Outrun in the end of this month.

Yeah, I'm skeptical of a lot of the apps that are going to be on xbox soon. I'm not sure they'll provide anything of value.

I am calling it right now; free apps will be largely useless (except maybe YouTube), the useful apps will all cost money in some form.

Yep, that is for sure. have you tried dailymotion? Dear Lord, not only the loading is really long, but the menus are soo laggy. Not to mention half of the DM video library is removed in xbox 360 version. Atrocious.
Everyone have a PC to enjoy such a things.

99% of the apps will required subscriptions. Some of them have free trial period (Lovefilm - 30 days), others not.
I am calling it right now; free apps will be largely useless (except maybe YouTube), the useful apps will all cost money in some form.
That's what I've assumed since day one. Dailymotion had a shot but blew it. It's long been the place for stuff that gets deleted from youtube for copyright violations and stuff that's too naughty for youtube. Since I don't see a way to turn off the family filter, it's usefulness is cut in half. Even then, if I can't find something on youtube I don't see myself taking 2 minutes to launch and search it out in another app.

Even Hulu, one of the better sources for free streaming content, charges for device access. The companies that make the stuff you want to watch are extremely slow to change. They don't know how to move away from the traditional means of getting content on your TV. They're worried about how it will impact their business. A college friend is dating an upper management guy who works on this stuff at a major cable provider. The two times that I've talked to him don't make me hopeful about it in the near future.

alright, picked up all the DLC for Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter and Advanced Warfighter 2. sure, these are really old games.

but I never played them the first time around and the reviews are spectacular for both of them. the DLC packs were reviewed well.

combined with the Gamestop buy 2, get 1 free deal, this is a great situation. I got a couple of friends to get in on this so at least we'll have each other to play with in case it's a ghost town online.

It can have up to 16 players in co-op missions! the reviews even talked about having a lot of friends together as a squad and canvassing the map and having to work together to solve missions.

GRAW2 is 5.99 at Gamestop. GRAW1 is 2.99. Rainbow Six Vegas is $2.99.

Yeah, I quite out of Daily Motion pretty quick. On top of all that, the video quality just plain sucked on the two videos I did try and the search engine was horrible.
