For those that dont have Boodrayne, I cant possibly give this game a higher recommendation. Its one of the best Xbox Live game of the year imo. If you like side scrolling games that are challenging then you should give it a look. The art design is top notch as well.

I just gave the demo a spin and was really impressed with the crispness of the 2D sprites and the smooth flow of combat. I do have one concern. In the first level you pretty much fought the exact same enemy over and over. Does the enemy variation improve much throughout the game?

Yeah, there is a nice variety throughout the game. You wont be disappointed. Each new level introduces new enemies.

Already have ITSP--great game for fans of the genre, especially at that price. Picked up Renegade Ops and seriously considering Bastion. Btw, can anyone confirm that most/all of the bugs in RenOps have finally been patched?
Yes, I believe the hints were actually on the dashboard for each day. Because I remember knowing what day Hydro Thunder would be ahead of time.
.
Yeah, I remember CAGs eagerly anticipating Limbo's sale on the final day and being underwhelmed by its 30% discount, after everything else had been 50% off or more.

I don't see any hints on the dash for the Countdown to 2012 promo.
Got bastion, bastion dlc, and rock of ages. Tempted by shadow planet but it looks like a pixeljunk shooter clone and I've aleady got both of those games. I also looked at renegade ops but that one looks like a twin stick shooter and I'm not a fan of that genre.
Try the demo it did not come off as a clone of Pixeljunk Shooter to me. It felt more like a Metrovania game.

Picked up Renegade Ops.

Seems like a solid co op game.

I'm going to pick of Rock and Ages too.

I'm basically out of points after I get that game though. Quite the sale we've got going here, I might have to consider picking up more points soon but we'll see what else goes on sale.
600 is a fair price for ITSP, but it felt sort of like a rip off at 1200. It only takes about 3 hours tops to beat the game. Maybe another hour to get 100% completion, and then that's pretty much it. I don't really see any reason to ever go back and replay it. It's just too simple and linear as far as metroidvanias go and there isn't much of a story to go by. On all but a few secret areas, the game tells you exactly what you need to do to progress to the next area. Also, literally no in game music.
No music? That's weird, the trailers made a big deal about it having music from Dimmu Borgir.

Is ITSP the only game on sale that's xbox exclusive? Xbox is my least favorite platform, so ITSP is probably going to be the only one I pick up.

Picked up a lot this week. I really should've saved some points for the rest for the countdown.
So I've picked up: Bangai-O, Radiant Silvergun, Bastion, ITSP and Deathspank. I'm pretty sure I'll also pick up Rock of Ages in a day or two.

No time to play, but plenty of time to shop apparently. :)

I haven't played PixelJunk Shooter 2, but ITSP is much better than PJ Shooter 1.

If you include PC as a console, then yes, I believe ITSP is the only xbox exclusive.
Seems like I'm the only one in for Peggle Nights.. along with Bastion! :D
I think it's probably just that more people already have Peggle & NIghts. I know that's the case with me :)

More likely than not. 200 points to keep the girlfriend busy for a bit? Yes, please.

You have Peggle already, right? Nights was a separate release on PC, but it an add-on on the 360.
bastion only last today
Yes we know this. Bastion is today's daily deal, while each day will have a different deal until January 2nd. Along with daily deals there are deals that last until the end of the holiday sale.
hoping for some good drops on Arkham City, New Vegas, and Reach DLC. Cmon Microsoft dont let me down!
Dont expect batman sale or maybe even a goty edition. They released a bundle that includes the skin pack, nightwing, and robin for 1200 MSP (Total would be 1520 MSP). A sale with that just releasing today would be crazy. Also dlc for the challenge maps came out and in the description it says free, but it has a price tag of 240 MSP, WTF? Anyways look foward to tomorrow's deal and im happy that I can pick up peggle anyitme from now till the 2nd.

Dammit. I wish i would have waited to buy the DLC if they were gonna have a bundle. O well. I pretty much got the game free anyways and already had the points. Probably gonna grab the other challenge maps too.

What is free is a Batman Inc Skin too that you can download. Just saw that as I was looking at the page.

See me and you are one and the same. I bought skin pack and the nightwing dlc the first couple of days they released, but got robin for free from BB so I did end up paying less in the long run. As for the challenge maps, those I may not buy since they dont add much and frustrate the shit out of me.

Yeah I had 2 Robin codes I sold off, thats why I dont really mind shelling out for the DLC release day. I had points on my account and nothing to spend them on. I will say tho that Robin is by far my favorite character in the freeflow system. So hes been worth it.

I love the challenge maps and think they add alot of replay. The freeflow combat is what I like about the game the most. This and Bayonetta have such unique and deep combat systems that the action seems skillful and just alot of fun to play pretty much. I sunk many hours into Sewer Bat Extreme on Batman AA, and Ive sunk a good amount into Wayne Armory with Robin. Havent unlocked many maps tho.

But back to the DLC, is this gonna be the new thing with DLC? Sell some sort of Bundle/Season Pass? It already going on since GoW3 and MK (another WB game too I believe). I tried to keep up with the Batman AC DLC but never heard of a bundle
wait, but 360 can run crysis? :whee:
Crysis was released as a 360 download arcade title a month or so ago.
wait, but 360 can run crysis? :whee:
PS3 and 360 have a 20-dollar port. 20 is too much though for such an old game that has no multiplayer. Plus it is not as polished as the PC version.

Only games that add alot of dlc should make dlc passes. Yet the arguement is that many companies leave out levels out of the original game just so they can make these passes and make it look a deal. I dont mind as long as the game offers quite a bit of gameplay and fun in the first place. gears and I guess LA Noire show this in a huge way. Mk not so much

I'll probably pick up the bundle for AC for Robin and the skins, Nightwing is a bonus I guess.

I know Bastion is today's deal (I already picked that up at launch), so does that mean Rock of Ages and Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet are 50% off all week?

Yeah, everything else currently on sale is until January 2nd. I expect we'll get additional "1-day sales" every day until then.

No, Rock of Ages will only be on sale for 1 week from today.

Thanks for the info guys. Rock of Ages being on sale for this week actually works out because I can just pick up a 1600 points card and have that finished from Batman stuff and Rock of Ages before Christmas when I get some points or something for other sale items.

Lookd like UFC 141 is free through the UFC app. Free is limited to the first 25K to "buy" the fight

That would be awesome. I'm gonna check this out when I get home.

Limited to the first 25K, better get someone to get it for you

I confirm UFC is free for now. But it requires a credit card to charge $0 to. I got the HD version, I'm excited, never watched UFC before.
Does the Robin dlc come with Batman AC if you but it at Bestbuy? Thanks.
Not unless you can find a launch copy. I have an extra code if you want to trade, pm me
so there will be another one day deal announced tonight and every night until new years?
Correct.

For some reason the UFC App has disappeared from my apps section, and it's not even in the app marketplace anymore. Anbody know whats going on?
so there will be another one day deal announced tonight and every night until new years?
Yup, 6:30 to 7:00 my site will have found it, unless ms move the start time if the sales, but others may find it faster since they are spot checking things on their wish lists.
