To be honest? No. It's a fine game and all but Reach just didn't hold me for very long, even with the new maps. Bigger and better multiplayer games out there right now.

Some things go up some things go down. You cannot make a generalization in price unless you talk like for like items. Gas and Food are up since 2001 and so are many other items and services. The price of publishing goes up about 9% a year.

Bits and Bytes do not fade or become less viable as long as there is a high demand on those items. For example, Madden games stay high almost until the new version come outs. Skyrim prices for PS3 "may" tumble if they do not fix the bugs. Car get old, rust and newer ones have better features or gas milage -- not the same for games or digital content. Also, from what I know, setting the prices is not exclusively a MS decision -- there is publisher input as well. With the current economy, everyone is asking for a few more sheckles.

Content is content and some remain more valuable than others. Being a CAG is good, but deals will not always spin your way. Don't stop being a CAG but don't get PO'd because a deal did not go your way -- today!
 
can anyone who's played the board games comment on them? i grew up on connect 4, scrabble, sorry, and was always curious about yahtzee (but never played it).

so i'm curious about the xbla versions. especially about whether they have both online and local multiplayer.

Avoid unless you're going to play with kids or you want the super easy (but mind-numbingly boring) achievements.

The interface of many of these games is horrible! Boggle is a great game but the controls spoil it. There are many reviews you can find. I agree with another poster above, unless you are hanging out with a bunch of kids or someone else who wants the digital nastalgia, not worth it. Better to break out the analog versions.

That has been my problem with most of Halo's map packs. Eventually they fall out of rotation and your money is wasted.

If I'm remembering the demo for Full House Poker correctly, it lets you play a lot before asking for money, if it stops at all. So you can get a good idea of what it's about besides the lack of online play. I'm not really a fan of poker games, but it at least has some of the hooks for what made 1 vs 100 good without actually being nearly as addictive.

I bought it two days ago, but only played 15 minutes of it. However, it was an AWESOME 15 minutes. Try the demo.

Also, can someone explain to me the Sonic Adventures DX upgrade? What is it? And I have the Dreamcast collection, does that come with the DX upgrade?

EDIT: It appears the answer to my question is "No, the Dreamcast Collection does not have the DX upgrade for Sonic Adventures". And apparently it adds some type of mission mode or something.

Nice sonic adventure and sonic 4 are mine. That and gears will make this a great holiday sale for me. If youve never played a sonic game before or havent played them on the xbox yet, now is a great time, unless you feel like waiting couple of months for a sega themed sale.
 
I suppose hoping that Sonic CD was going to be part of the Sonic sale was foolish, but it would have improved the XBLA Winter Sale considerably for me.

The majority of the talk around here is at least related to XBLA, which I personally think is A-OK. It's not too hard to find the important things even when the OP isn't up-to-date. If dildo comparisons and goat cheese were going page after page, I might be inclined to side with you.

They may go on sale, but you still shouldn't buy them. I reckon the complete collection will drop and maybe a few select single packs.

I usually chime in and ask people to get back on topic, but sometimes it has died down by the time I make it back to the thread. Second, I have 0 power here beyond updating the OP and opening and closing the thread. Mods usually check the thread and do a good job of cleaning up any nonsense that gets out of hand. If you ever feel it's getting out of control, just make a post requesting to get back on topic and I'm sure the flames from the trolls will easily be seen by a mod.

yeah but most likely I feel like a complete edition wont include the skins, just the pass and the game of course. Ive been rocking the green liquid skins for a couple of months now, and would like to switch it up a bit. It would be kind of a dumb move for epic to include everything gears 3 dlc related into a $60 gaming package.
 
Sweet got Sonic 4. I just got rid of my WP7 phone that I bought it on so now I'll have it on 360. Went to get the dx upgrade but looks like I all ready have it.

On topic - I bought Sonic 4 Ep. 1, own everything else. But these are some pretty nice prices.
 
If you are buying all Sonic games + DLC, comes out to 1280 Microsoft points. If you have PS+, it's $15 (1200 points) and you save 50 cents :). Probably affects a very small percentage of you, but wanted to give a heads up.
 
If Episode One is 4 dollars, that's a buy. I find it odd that the OP looks different in IE vs Firefox....aka Firefox is fully updated while IE is not, which sucks because Xbox.com does not work on Firefox right now.
 
Nice, something actually worth for me to buy. Another game for my backlog, just waiting to get fired and then I have so many games to play........
