I figured I'd make an official topic for this since I'm sure there are enough suggestions around to make this valid, if not a stickied thread.
My recent suggestions:
1.Monopoly
2.Culcept

You know what'd be great on XBLA? Street Fighter II!

Seriously, though, I'd like to see a good multiplayer Tetris on there, and instead of Ultimate MK or whatever version they're putting up, I'd like Mortal Kombat II. Maybe some type of 4 player sports title, too. Once they get the camera going, I think some type of Game Show thing would be cool. 3-player Press Your Luck!

Kid Chameleon.

Thread ovar~

But, yes; I totally agree with Monopoly.

i'd really like zombies ate my neighbors, lemmings, and sim city...i don't know how all of the versions were, but i played the ones on snes and liked them all quite a bit.

Oh yeah, Lemmings would be cool.

Also, maybe some kind of little Halo mini-game. And maybe a little mini Sonic game, but old-school, 2D Sonic.

Oh, and a Super Monkey Ball.

Holy crap. The X-Men arcade game would be legendary if it came to XBLA. 8 player co-op on live??? Madness. Or was it six? It's been like 10 years since I've played the thing at the arcade.

Yeah it surprised the shit out of me MS HASN'T bagged that yet, Monopoly that is. I figure with UNO already Monopoly would be a no brainer.
Culdcept I could honestly see doing pretty well on XBLA as well, maybe charge $20 for it.
Also what about Queen Of Hearts? Some people RAVE about that fighter.

Risk would be another one that would interest people.

edit: Forgot Cadash.

It was six. How 'bout a Konami bundle with X-Men, TMNT (all of 'em), Simpsons, and throw in Crime Fighters for good measure. I'd buy that for...800 points.

Oh shit I remember Crime Fighters. You'd need a good light gun for it since almost all lightguns with the exception of the Guncon are pure shit.

Primal Rage.

Some sort or 3d Crane game would be cool, lol.
-Right Analong Stick: Move Camera around machine
-Left Analong Stick: Move Crane
-L Trigger: Zoom in
-R Trigger: Zoom out
-A: Drop Claw
-B: Tilt camera down
-Y: Tilt camera up
-X: Reset Claw (for whatever reason)
-D-pad: Shake the hell outta the machine when the stuffed bear gets stuck

Yes, I got bored one day and thought up all of that.

The problem with those Konami beat-em-ups is that once you've beaten them there's not much replay value. I'd still probably get them if the price was right since they are some of my favorite games of all time.

Monopoly would make perfect sense. People play the PC version online all the time, so the length of the game doesn't bother those people. Pretty much any multiplayer board game or card game would work great on Live.

Gauntlet Legends would be pretty cool with 4 player multiplayer and cleaned up graphics. The Game of Life, Jeopardy, Wheel of Fortune, and Boggle would all be pretty cool on there also. One game that I'd absolutely love to see on Live is Chu Chu Rocket with 4 players simultaneously. I would buy it in a second if they had that.

Actually that would be a kind of cool promo for MS to give away some shit they haven't in the U.S. yet, see RRXX GAMERPICS! X-(

I think they changed the name and now it's just "Whammy". Good idea regardless...

And the other problem is - once again - that a lot of those games are licensed, and neither Konami nor Microsoft has the rights to them.

Still, I'd buy TMNT in a heartbeat....4 player XBL play would rule. "Say your prayers, toitles."

I'd like to see one of those multiple choice trivia games like they have in sports bars. That always seemed like a obvious addition to Live to me.

Doesn't Konami still own the license for TMNT they just put out the classic TMNT aracade game with the recently released TMNT 2 Battle Nexus as a unlockable and they are the ones currently publishing TMNT games.

Monopoly
Risk
TMNT Arcade Game
Mega Man X games

With Monopoly, there could be new "skins" or something so you could play Star Wars Monopoly or Lord of the Rings Monopoly, sort of like the 35 Anniversary Deck for Uno. Same thing could be done for Risk.

With the Mega Man X games, I know the Mega Man X Collection is available (I have it) but I could still see these games selling on XBLA. I love the first two.

With TMNT, it's been a long time since I played that game. I'd love to get that.

I'm thinking the Monopoly Gold Edition along the skins line.

The Super Monkey Ball multiplayer games would be great.

Also, I can't believe I forgot to put this one in my first post...

PAC-MAN VS.!!!

I love this on the GC with the GBA, and it'd be even more fun on Live. Of course, new mazes and options. It'd be amazing. Get on it, Namco.

It depends how the original contract was written. If the game is run under emulation it is often allowable to keep publishing that code base in perpetuity while paying the same royalties. If the contract included provisions for porting to the home market that legalese may still stand for the purpose of an XBLA version.

Since the game is otherwise dead so far a s revenue goes, they aren't likely to make any unreasonable demands when it comes to reviving it. It would be turning away easy money.

Super Monkey Ball Deluxe from Xbox already works on the 360 and is now packaged with Sonic Heroes for $20. With the game already available for cheap on the Xbox 360, why bother putting it on XBLA?

I believe Nintendo has part ownership in Pac-man VS. It appearing on a non-Nintendo platform is pretty unlikely.
The only thing with Monopoly is that the game NEVER ENDS. Would you guys seriously sit down and play that game for 5 hours with friends on Live?
A serious game of Monopoly shouldn't take more than two hours, max. Anybody dragging it out longer lacks the proper killer instinct.

Because party games would be fun against other players online.

Also, thanks for crapping on my suggestions. I know Pac-Man Vs. isn't likely to come to XBLA, but it'd sure be fun if it did.

that game fusion frenzy i though had a lot of awesome party games that didnt really get too old quik, that game would be awesome on the arcade.

Your welcome. The thread is more interesting when people stick to things that are realistic. Adding Live support to the existing game seems more likely than extracting part of it for XBLA.

If you know Pac-man VS. is an impossiblity, why not think it through and suggest that something with similar gameplay be done for the Live environment? It turns a pointless dream into something viable. It could go a lot further than the orignal with more players and more variation than a single hunter/hunted and everybody else against him.

So, did the definition of "crapping on someone" change and I wasn' told. I read epobirs' post, and I can't seem to find one where he's "crapping on everyone's suggestions."

OK, maybe the phrase was stronger than neccessary, but in a thread called "XBLA suggestions" he fails to suggest any games. He does explain why games others have listed aren't realistic or (in his opinion) needed on XBLA. While I know that Monkey Ball is playable, it's not on XBLA, and I think it'd be fun to play most of the mini-games online.

I'm certainly not meaning offense, I just would have preferred that he list his own suggestions rather than give reasons why mine weren't realistic.

That could very well be - at this point I had forgotten they were still even making TMNT games. So hell yeah, bring it on. I'd rather see X-Men but I'm not holding my breath - the Marvel license is probably tied up in a lot more legal enclosures than the TMNT license.
