XBLA - Ticket to Ride - 800pts - Europe DLC out 8/01
Yeah I played the demo at my friend's place and it was really awesome.

I would buy it if my 360 wasn't broken and on its way to Microsoft.
I had the same problem as well. I wish you could zoom in on the map. I will probably give the game another try though. I really enjoy playing the PC version though.
You can zoom in/out with the triggers, there are 3 levels of zoom.
Oh great, I'll probably end up buying this then. I actually turned it off my first time playing because I was getting frustrated trying to figure out which colors I needed for my routes.

How is the online multiplayer?

i've only been playing multiplayer and i love it.

Played my first match online and did horribly (like 79 vs 113 or something for the highest 2). fucking dick blocking my shit for no good reason.

Well I just gave the game another try, and being able to zoom has me sold. If you guys want to play sometime go ahead and add me. My GT is Pure Apathy. Maybe we can get a CAG Ticket to Ride night started up.

Bought this game this morning, played at least 4 hours. Anyone manage to get the achievement for 8 city links? The most I managed to get was 5. Seems nearly impossible to get 8.

I still havent gotten time to play this or the demo due to relatives being in town and I was wondering is the single player AI as good or near the level of Catan? if so I would love this probably.

Well, I played a game with all hard AI opponents, and they played...differently. It seems that rather than focus on building their own score they just do whatever they can to block my connections. I ended up going nearly into Kansas to connect LA with Portland.

I like it a lot, but I have a hell of a time telling red routes from orange ones. Anyone else have that problem or do I need to go get a color-blindness test?

Try zooming in, I had the same problem at first. If you can't make the colors out after zooming in on the map, then I would suggest adjusting the colors and if that doesn't help, a color-blindness test.

6 is the highest amount of destinations I've been able to make so far.

I'm loving this game, but I hate getting cock blocked by other players. Especially when you are close to completing a destination. That's what makes the game fun though.

I also accepted your friend request Spaz.

Anyone else here down for a CAG get together?

I bought this one without even trying the demo, no regrets at all. I'm definitely up for some multiplayer with y'all.

I friend requested you other 3 guys (mac, kill3r, and misterhand). I can play whenever really, I don't have much going on now. Maybe we can set it up some time to take turns getting the canadian content achievement :p. I don't see ever getting that one in a real match...

The CC achievement thing sounds fine to me. I'm getting ready to go mow the yard and then I'll be back online. I'll send the others a friend request later today. If you guys want to do it later today or tonight just let me know. I should be around.
Definitely up for a game tonight, if guys are on we should set one up.
Alright. Right now it's 5:37 CST for me. I should be on around 8:00-8:30 CST tonight.

Damn I hope this CAG get together Ticket to Ride thing doesn't die by the time I get my 360 back from Microsoft because I think the game is fucking awesome.

I'm loving this game and would like to join the group:

GT = Toper331

I'm available anytime...if you see me online, just shoot me an invite and I'll join...thanks!

It's got a LOT more depth and longevity than Lost Cities, which is really a one trick pony.

If you look in the How To Play section, they have the rules lined up for both 1910 and Europe expansions already. 1910 seems like just a mini-expansion with some slightly different bonuses and maybe a couple new cards.
Europe, on the other hand is a new map (obviously) and has many new rules including the use of ferries, building tunnels and building train stations to use another player's line in your destination route.

I'd guess that 1910 would be pretty inexpensive based on what's involved but I expect Europe to be at least 400 points. I'd probably get it for that.

Feel free to send me an invite. I've not tried online yet; I suspect I'd get slaughtered. But if you guys don't mind me bringing up the caboose in scoring, I'd be in for the occasional game as I continue to figure this game out.

It was fun playing with RawisJericho and Spazx, good games guys. Hopefully we'll have a full room of CAGs next time around.
Is it worth the price if you don't really have much interest in playing online?
Honestly, I don't think it's worth the price if your not playing online.

The game does feature local multiplayer up to 3 players (you can't play with locals online), but it's a pain. The game has some sort of cover your eyes feature, were you have to press A to confirm when it's safe to take your turn. Once your done, it will show on screen who's next and controller will vibrate to notify each player it's there turn.

Wow. That's actually awesome. My fiancee and I love to play Carcassone together, and we don't mind doing that on a game that requires it.

I'd rather pay $10 and get the XBLA version instead of 30-40 for the board game. Plus, one thing I thought of is that it has to be a pain in the ass to pick up all of the trains after every game when you play the board game.

This game is so much fun. I can't wait for the expansions now. The 1910 expansion adds 39 extra destination tickets, so the total with that expansion will be 69.

My guess is 1910 will be 100-300 points and Europe will be 400 points.

I just finished playing the demo I and I think I like this. I was so focused on trying to connect my routes that I didn't realize the computer was claiming paths that I would have needed, so I'm also starting to see where the strategy comes in.

I just wish that some of these XBLA games would try the 400 price point sometimes...where did those go? :)

Ok I just sent friend requests out to a bunch of you on here. I'm going to get on for about 10 minutes to see if anyone wants to play. If no one gets on I'm just going to get off of XBL for the night since I'm starting to get really tired.

God, I grow tired of complaints like this. The only games that ever were released at 400 points were either classic arcade games (joust, frogger, dig-dug), super-simple, super-sucky games like Bliss Island and Space Giraffe, or two decent, deep games (Geometry Wars, Uno) that launched the Arcade and Live Vision, respectively.

Please people, stop saying "I wish this game was 400 points", because it just isn't happening.
Besides this game is certainly worth 800 points.

Ok, my friends list is starting to get really cluttered with people I've met on XBL and CAG. So to make it easier I made a new user name called CAG TTR.

I'm going to go through and add everyone on here as a friend on that gamer tag. Then everyone on here will only need to use one spot on their friends list for all of the CAGs who would like to play this game.

All you need to do is add CAG TTR as a friend, and then hit view friends to see everyone on the list and then you can send them invites when you want to play Ticket to Ride.

Ok I just sent out invites to everyone who posted that they have or were thinking about buying Ticket to Ride.

If you want in on the list, just add CAG TTR as a friend and post in here saying you did so. Then I'll get on that name and accept your request.
