XBLA Unplugged (5 games) & 1 Month Gold Subscription $8 Amazon

Guess I'll be going to Sears (again) tonight after work.

I had previously purchased this game from there 2 weeks ago for $12.97, but then returned it the next day. Hope they still have that one copy!
So, can you play Texas Hold 'em on line with this one? I think I read where you can't.
Yes, you can, provided you have an active Xbox Live Gold account. It plays just like if it were on your hard drive.

Sweet, had been wanting Geometry Wars for a while, and this is basically the same price for a bunch more.

I also grabbed FFIII for the DS for $19.99 for free shipping.

Sweet.
is this just like codes? so you could split the codes between friends?
no, It's all on a disc

Well, there is that option, too. Use Shipwreck's "Guide to Half-price Content" instructions.

I caved in and got one. I don't have a 360 yet (will soon) but $8 for all those games when Geometry Wars itself costs $5 online sounds good to me.

Oh, cool. Where can I find this?

This is actually a really good deal, assuming you actually want to play more than 1-2 of the games; I scored it for $10 from a friend a while ago, but I ended up trading it off and just buying Geometry Wars because that was the only game I really played on the disc and it was worth it not having to actually have the disc in the console and hear the thing buzzing loud as a jet engine in my older 360. :)

FWIW, if you decide to get rid of the disc and re-buy the digital versions, it retains your high scores and achievements and such. I don't know about your saves in games like Wik but I don't see why not, as the game doesn't really differentiate between the digital versions and the disc versions.

 • Geometry Wars
 • Bejeweled 2 Deluxe
 • Wik - Fable of Souls
 • Hardwood Backgammon
 • Outpost Kaloki X
 • Plus Demos
*Texas Hold 'Em as well is on the disc

add in the month of XBL Gold and this is a nice deal for those interested in any of these Arcade games. Geometry Wars, Wik and Outpost are all supposed to be some of the best.

Granted the games themselves are still worth it, but the 1 month membership is probably expired since I just got this for $5 at Sears and the card had expired.
Live cards don't expire. The "expiration" dates really don't mean much.
The only cards that ever actually expired are some of the old 2 month cards. I know some came from an Old XBOX Splinter cell game.

achievements: yes 200 each full version game

I already have GW, too, but I've been eyeing Outpost for awhile. That alone costs $10, so I got in on this a few days ago. Unplugged is on clearance in a lot of places, but I've never stumpled upon on it, so I was happy when Amazon put it up for this price.

It also has Texas Hold 'em, and at $8 it's totally worth it unless you own ALL of them. I bought it when it was 18 and I already owned all except Wik and Outpost.

Do you have to have the disc in the play all of these or can you download them to your HDD like the online versions?

When a thread is a repost, you might want to review the original thread - you just may find what you are seeking.

In this case, I believe the conclusion was these games play from disc only.

Good bump for those just tuning in, though...
i completely missed that thread. well, at least those looking for an after christmas deal can still cash in.

and to the one who asked, no you can't put the games on your HDD. So you're gonna have to go through the effort of opening the case and popping the disc in the tray and then sifting through a game selection menu... :p

Thanks for the info

Actually, no, they just appear in your Arcade Games list when the disc is inserted (with all your regular downloaded ones) - no need for any additional menu. They still run of the disc, though, which to me is a huge drawback. The big advantage of regular Arcade games is that they are MUCH quieter (due to the blender not running ;)) than disc-based games. I've had this Arcade Unplugged disc for quite a while and rarely play it because of the inconvenience. But $8 is still a great deal ;).

Just to confirm what others have said, the cards do not expire. I was fairly certain of this before hand, but my game just arrived, and it worked perfectly.

Game arrived the day before Christmas (ordered 12/20). Definitely a great purchase for the price, I love Outpost Kaloki X and Wik so far, and the rest are fun timewasters. Worth the price, definitely.

Just ordered this yesterday, Combined with Puzzle Quest for the PSP for 12.99 and the Xbox 360 Universal DVD Remote for a total of $30.00 Shipped!!

I know this was posted back on like page 1, but the best part about these games if you already own them on the hard disk is that this will always be DRM free. The stuff on your console is tied to that console. So if it breaks and it has to be replaced you don't have to be attached to Live to play it. (DRM Free)

Another good thing is that you can take it with you to a buddies house.

I wish they would do more live compilations like this. BTW, I'm in for this deal.

I am new to the 360 scene, but I had heard that if something happens to your 360 (*cough*RROD*cough*), call up, and make a big enough stink, they will let you redownload the games or something, so that will be tied to your new console. Again, I just got my a console a few months ago, so I don't know. Is this true? I hope so. I have a ton of Arcade games.

it will take them 1 month to reissue your points. u might have to call back to make sure theyre on it, but they eventually gave me back like 6000-7000 points to "redownload the games on a separate profile"; so it was like all the crappy games i bought never happened....

seriously if you just recover your account you can get all the stuff back.
It saves it on your XBOX 360 if your HD breaks
you just got to Download them again
