Here's a what IGN has to say from the final build:
War World plays more like a standard shooter than a mech game. And by that I mean that, for the most part, the combat is fairly fast. Only the truly enormous mechs have trouble making it quickly across the map. In any other mech, you will be maneuvering more like a man than a mech, which seems well suited for an XBLA title. The pacing is similar to MechAssault, though comparing the two is a bit unfair, since War World is not a full retail title. There's no destructibility in the environments and the controls don't have the same feel. War World plays like a game you'd find in an arcade (the kind that sucks up quarters), which is fine by me.

Thanks to Deadite76 for the heads up on this!

Cool. It has been a while since I'd seen anything new about War Worlds so I hope it is coming next week.

Wow... supposedly right along side Mega Man 9, eh? Hehe, play a robo-boy(MAN!) who kills "Robot Masters" or get to play one yourself, killing OTHER "Robots" (I prefer "mecha" in this case, but still)... =D

War World sounds like a pretty strong title, I always anticipated a "higher than 800 points" price for this game, but I hope it doesn't turn out that way. I hope it's cheap enough to where it and Megaman together are a single points card worth in value.

the trial sucks, you get 30 seconds in a game of deathmatch before it ends. Wish you could at least play a full round before you have to make up your mind

The trial really is horrid. And the framerate looks a bit.. eh. As if the refresh rate is stuttering JUST a bit more than it should, making the game feel just a bit more cheap than it should.

I can't tell if I like the game enough to buy it, lol. It definitely looks great and seems like it could be fun, but MAN, that trial is so bad, it makes you wonder if you SHOULD purchase it; Let the product speak for it's own quality, don't pull some horridly lame stunt like this!

After watching some videos, I'll give the demo a go. See if it controls well, and ya know, doesn't suck. ;)

Plus, since I'm getting MM9 for the PS3, I have extra Points to apply to things.

The controls are pretty good from what I can tell in the first 30 seconds. Anyone have the guts to buy it after that trial? If so, how do you like it?

The demo is a complete joke. i can't even figure out how to get missles before that crap ends.

It took me longer to download the game than to play it. umm.. lol. I watched some videos on it on IGN just to make sure it wasn't a bit buggy, but indeed the framerate is kind of messed up. Jumpy.

So I fought through the demo multiple times.

A tip: After you press the button to select the default mech in the demo, Tap directions to the left of right swiftly. This will allow you to select from any of the other mechs that you can reach by scrolling to them. Normally I can reach up to the first 3 or 4 to the left or right, but if you click the analog and the digital, you can double your click speed!

Doing this, I got to try out the others. It really feels like a fighting game, in the fact that each mecha has it's own weapon and ability payload. As I've seen noted, NONE OF THE MECHS HAVE ALL WEAPONS. (None I saw!) Hence, you don't always use each wep button.

I actually like what I see, playing it like this. I think the Demo is a hugely stupid piece of work, but I can easily see this being fun, through finding a mech you like, and running with it.

Normally I'd just download the demo and check it out for myself, but it sounds like this demo isn't worth the time it takes to download it. So.... any full game opinions?

this is a sad joke.. why don't they just say.. "don't bother our game sucks" instead of wasting our time for a 60 second demo..
