XBLA - X-Men Arcade - 800 Points - Now available!

Awesome game! Bringing back so many memories of playing this at the local arcade when I was younger.

I really hope they port over the Simpsons brawler, that one was fantastic. The only thing that stunk was that Homer was the worst character to play with because all he could do was punch and his range was terrible.
 
I've hoped into numerous online games begining from the City. I still have yet to get it cause I believe everybody skips the damn cut scene.
 
The host is the only person who gets the Mystique achievement. I believe it has been noted in this thread already once or twice.

I need this achievement, by the way. If you guys want to get together and have a 6 person cheesemint train so we can alternate getting it, it wouldn't take too long. I'm good for Saturday or Sunday night; after 6:30pm EST Sat, but Sunday anytime.
 
You actually get the Mystique achievement at the start of that level. Not when you actually see her. I tried a bunch of times to jump into a game midway into that level to just catch that achievement, but never got it. Then one play through I had 6 people at the start of the level and I got it.
 
HydroX try just starting a game from the beginning, then by the time you get there you should have 6 people and get your achievement. I was just playing casually and unlocked it that way. I think the other people were trying to get it as well because right after the fall 3 people dropped out, probably wondering why they didn't get the achievement.

Not true. I got it as the 4th player in a game.

I still can't get the Master of Magentism achievement. I've beat Mags with every character, entire game with Cyclops, Colouss, and Wolvie. (and I noticed after being it with Colossus it didn't save so who knows), guess I'll just keep trying.

It could be a glitched achievement like the Mystique cheese. To get the Magneto one, I just played the USA ROM on Magneto's level with each character hoping that with the 6th character completing it, I'd get it -- and it worked, however I had to beat him with Cyclops twice for some reason. (?) Either way, that's how I got it.

I also got the Mystique achievement the other day -- however I could only get it as host. So while you may be right, in my case, I *had* to be the host in order to get it. I had played the game countless other times with 6 players and never got it (and heard people bitching over the mic about not getting it as well).
 
I think I'm goign to stop obsessing about the last achievement and hope they just patch the thing. I'm going to be furious if I baet it wtih all 6 characters through an entire game and no ach.
 
I've gotten everything but the Expert one and the Master of Magnet one.

I'll probably be on sometime tomorrow to finish it off if anyone is interested.

No doubt. I'm only available Wednesday night this week though -- but I'm available before 4:30pm EST every day this week.
 
Sounds good to me. This week, I'm off all day Wednesday, Sunday, and Monday, and should be on approximately around 7 tonight and Thursday. Saturday...we'll say 5. Only day that won't work for me is Friday.

Need help with the defeat the final boss with all 6 characters, I have done it and I still haven't gotten the achievement
 
I'll also be working on this one over the next couple of weeks. I'm usually online evenings (US time). Send me a FR if you'd like to team up.
 
So, I have 200/200 now. Below is what I got from other forums and also worked for me.

For most of the achievements you need to be in the character select screen before stage 1. You don't need to be host to get any of them. I believe you can also skip all the cutscenes and still get everything.

If you need to Master of Magnet achievement you can just start from chapter 8 and beat Magneto with all the characters. If after this you don't have the achievement start from the character select screen and play through all the stages with Cyclops. He is the one who doesn't save for some people (I had to do this).

This one is still screwing me. I beat Magento with all 8 characters and the ENTIRE game wtih Colossus, Wolverine, CYclops, and NIghtcrawler and this still hasn't popped.

I've read some people say that you should also play the Japanese Rom and host a game online to make sure you get it . Supposedly the key is you need to see "saving content" with each character, but once you see it once you don't see it again, so it's hard to keep track of who saved and who didn't.

Yeah I do the Japanese ROM. The saving thing is the issue, most of the time it won't save for me (or maybe it already did, no clue)

This just worked for me. Thanks. I still need to do finish a few more achievements, but that one wouldn't unlock for me until I did this.
 
So should I go ahead and beat Magneto with all 6 characters then go through the entire game with Cyclops back to back?

I had beat him with all 6 characters the other day. After reading this, I just fired it up with cyclops and went through it with him and the achievement popped up.
 
Should we maybe try and get a group of 6 available this weekend. I should be around myself after 4 pm EST tomorrow and will be available 2pm-6/7pm and 10pm-? Sunday. Also should be available most of the day Monday anytime.
 
I need to run through this a few more times with a few characters and need the "be fooled by mystique with 5 other players" achievement still too so I'd be up for helping out with a group of CAGs. I'll be on all weekend for the most part so if you see me on just toss me an invite, I'd love to help out!
 
I should be around this evening. I already have JStryker416 & Typical Knave on my friend list, so I'll keep an eye out for you 2. I'm down to just the 6-player achievements and the 25 min run. We could probably knock that out with some mutant power spamming as well.
 
Well, my nieces showed up and have taken over the tv with my kids. I'll be on in a bit. I'm not sure if you'll still be around then.
 
I'll be on for another 60-90 minutes, but I doubt I see myself on much longer than that since tonight is anime night.

I do have to pick up my dad tomorrow, but if I go nowhere else, should be on around 2 or so. EST.

I just got this and need the 6 player achievements as well. I could play most nights this week other than Tuesday. Starting around 9-10pm EST would be best for me.
 
I also need the 6 player achievements, so count me in for whenever you guys decide to do this. I'm usually free at night but the times will differ depending on which day it is.
 
I'll try to be on tonight. I finished up the bamf achievement yesterday. My 8 year old son and I plowed through it with Colossus and Wolverine mutant power spam. I'm down to the 2 6-player achievements now.
 
Well no luck. I beat the game with Cyclops in full, then did Magneto wtih everyone, then Cyclops full game again and no acheivement for beating him with all X-Men. It registered them all in the leaderboards but guess doesn't matter. Stuipd game.

From what I've read, it has to say "Saving.. blah blah blah" for you to get credit for it. I'm not sure if it will work with the japan ROM.

For those wanting to do the 6-player achievements. Should we set a time for tonight? I have most of you on my friends list already. I think I just need to add dmaul & StarKnight. If I have a set time, it'll be easier to get my wife to go watch Dancing with the Stars in the bedroom. :D
 
I'm sure my dad's probably going to make Speghetti tonight as he seems to always do on a Monday night, so I'd say if we avoid 6-8 pm (EST), I'd be good. Granted, I'm just guessing on when he'd make dinner, but that sounds about right if he does.
 
You can combine local players with online players right? Cause my brother could join tonight since he needs the achievement too , but if we already have 6 its no big deal since he doesn't care that much about achievements.

I don't mind doing it multiple times tonight to help everyone out. It's not like it will take long for 6 people to plow through it all. Especially if you spam mutant powers.

My son is online atm playing Pac Man CE DX. I'll take over in a bit. I'm going to replace the screen on this PSP that I got for cheap off of Craigslist first. I'm hoping for good news there. (Screen wouldn't display anything, but system would turn on and you could hear the audio.)
