Xbox 360 12 Month Gold Card $41.88 Free shipping @ OutPost.com

hey, I'm a new guy. Never heard of that online retailer before? They a trusted source? The deal seems really good and I wanna get it, but I've never heard of the site...

These things don't expire right?

I want to get one now but I probably won't activate until about March/April...

You've never heard of Outpost? They're actually one of the older online retailers, I remember buying from them in at least 1997. Fry's, a large west coast electronics retailer, bought them in 2001.
Is 40 a good price for this? Just got a 360
Yeah, it's pretty good. It lists for $50. You might be able to find a better deal with time, but it's not bad. All things being equal, you might just want to pick it up in-store at CC rather than online if you have to pay tax either way.
You have to pay shipping though, since it's not from Amazon.
Bummer! I just bought one of those 12+1 Gold card for $39.99w/shipping through Amazon themselves just the other week...

I guess I'd recommend waiting and hope they offer such a deal again.

They offer free shipping as well, though on at least my last order I had to pay CA tax. Didn't with Amazon. I guess it wouldn't make that much difference with the price being higher again at Amazon though... ;)
Its gonna be $39.99 @ Circuit City 12/31/06 - 1/06/07.
We know, thanks for the info "but" not everyone has a CC near by as an option, and I'm one of them. ;) 50-60 miles here whichs that equals (time + $$ for gas)

You do realize that they have a online store and offers free shipping, right? ;)

Either way, it's the better deal assuming tax isn't applied in your state, or at least where the CC shipping your item is located.

I wasn't referring to the OP. I was referring to the alternate deal someone posted (that I quoted) which was sold through Amazon but not by them.

This isn't the greatest deal. I just got four 3month cards for $10 each at TRU. These are the ones that are packaged for the original XBOX but also work with the 360. I know what you are thinking- it comes out to $40- WRONG!!! Each 3 month pack comes with a headset and adapter. A headset and adapter combo trades in for a little more than $4 at EB/GS. So you end up spending $40 but you also get $12 credit at EB/GS.

I just bought one, and it must be activated before 6/30/07.

They say that, but they don't mean it. Some state laws (like mine) actually prohibit stored value cards like that from expiriing. Look for "gift card laws" in your state.

Yeah the cards that are packaged for the original Xbox say they expire in 2005 but I just used them today and they worked fine.

Strange, the link I clicked showed me free shipping and the 12 month card for $39.99 through Amazon.
