Xbox 360 250 GB slim hdd 86.99 + 3.99 s&h

Good price if you don't want to flash the drive yourself.

I bought this Western Digital 250gb drive in-store for $44 + tax: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Western...tops/9024147.p?id=1218012522486&skuId=9024147

And flashed using this guide: http://digiex.net/guides-reviews/co...b-sata-drive-work-xbox-360-xbox-360-slim.html

Only catch is you have to have a PC or laptop that recognizes the drive in DOS with the HDDHACKR utility so YMMV. But still less than half the price of the "Official" M$ 250gb drive.

Too much work, I just use a legit drive from Microsoft
Good deal too.

I'll make the obligatory "If you use a flashed drive you run the risk that MS could decide to ban you, even though to date they have not yet banned anyone for using a flashed drive"

Also I hear that with a flashed drive you can't play Xbox 1 games

Not too much work if you're tech savvy or have built your own computer before. For me flashing firmware is business as usual so saving $50-60 bucks was totally worth it.

I agree though, it's a good price if you don't know your way around DOS and Firmware Utilities. ;)

True, they have not banned anyone. I doubt they will since M$ has their hands full trying to crack down on those that are actually hacking games and flashing their DVD drives to play burned disks.

You can still play Xbox 1 games if you copy the 2nd partition from your old HD if you are using a Gen 1 360. I'm pretty sure that the Xbox slim 4gb has the backwards compatibility built into the 4gb internal memory.
