Xbox 360 Arcade + COD:MW2 Hardened + 12 Month Gold $249 (Elite $349) at Walmart.com

All Arcade systems come with built in 256MB memory cards built into the systems now. They started that a year ago.

Comes out to $276.xx with CA tax and standard shipping. Not a bad deal at all. You're essentially getting a year of Live free.

Notice that I said it still had 214MB free after the console and MW2 updates and yes you said ...
games
So I've already checked and yes it works with this game, so now you say ...
Note that I said "games", not one game. You may be able to have one, but not multiple.
So I messed around with it a bit without my harddrive attached and I updated Fallout 3 and it was still at 214MB free, so I tried Fable III and it was still at 214MB, then I tried Dead Space but it didn't have an update. So of the "games" I tried the updates seemed like they were so small they weren't even recognized. Then I checked savegame on my harddrive and the majority average out to be under 1MB, so on savegames alone there's a possibility of playing over 214 "games" on this thing. Now I'm not saying they're all under 1MB, one of my biggest Fallout 3 savegames is about 4MB and just for the record that'd be over 50 saves but to play devil's advocate and to prevent you from changing your "games" to "games playable from the harddrive" or some other silly variant. DLC and XBLA games will either chew this memory up or in some cases not work at all. The map packs are usually around the 400 or 500MB mark, so when IW/MW2 releases the new maps in the spring you had better have a harddrive if you want to be able to play them. Although you can still play the original ones just like the people with harddrives that don't want to buy them. If you still want to believe that this variant of the console won't allow you to play games well that's your loss but if you don't mind playing games without add-ons and want to play online then this sure beats the hell out of
"other consoles" (as to not incite fanboy riots)
as far as bang for your buck.

I would like to thank the OP because I called my cousin that was looking for a 360 and he bought. It's not as good as the $100 arcade but close enough

Sorry but the bang the extra $50 gets you makes this an average deal at best. But for somebody looking for an Xbox its a pretty good deal.

Thanks OP my neighbor was looking for a decent deal and now he has an option.

If you read it properly, the bang for the buck was not in reference to the deal but in reference to the other consoles being sold this gen.
