Ok. So I'm in a bit of a rut. I traded in my old xbox 360 which was out of both the one year and three year warranty (system was so old, it didn't have HDMI hook-up in the back). NOTE: The old system has RROD numerous times and had to be sent back. I traded it in for some credit.

Currently, I am in line to buy a new xbox 360 elite. I was initially planning to buy the GOTY bundle with Halo 3 and Fable 2...However, I've been reading that these systems do not contain the Jasper chip I got a little iffy about making the purchase.

I've also read that the Resident Evil 5 Bundle contains the Jasper chip. The only problem is that the Resident Evil 5 bundle looks like an eye sore (No offense to those in love with it). I really don't like the color scheme, I know this sounds nit-picky, but it's a system that I would be seeing everyday of my life.

My dilemma is; do I throw caution to the wind and just buy the GOTY edition with its sleek black look OR do I purchase the eye-sore that is the Resident Evil Bundle?

Until then...I'm 360-less. :(

What should I do?!
 
I am looking to get rid of a 360 elite. It was bought on around April 26th. It can ship it with all that it came with and also all 6 of my new games and a wireless router. Are you interested?
 
I'm pretty sure all 360 models out now have Jasper chips in them. The Resident Evil 360s have a high defect rate.

I will upload pics of what all it will come with, you post an offer. Here is the list while I get it setup for a pic.

Xbox 360 Elite with everything that it comes with in retail, the box, cables, controller, etc. (Come with kung fu panda and Lego Indiana Jones) - $400
Wireless Adapter - $100
COD W@W $60
Fallout 3 $60 it also comes with the first 3 expansions, broken steel, the pitt, and operation anchorage, $30 there.
Halo 3 -$40
Halo Wars -$60
RE5- $60
Xmen Origins Wolverine -$60

I will combine it all to the retail price *(what I paid for) and then you offer, then we will go from there.

$870 in all but I don't want that much, I was just saying how much you are getting.
 
take this as it is, but ars technica said that when the ps3 price drops they are going to replace the pro with the elite. So if you can hold out for awhile you'll get an even better deal
 
But a pro console from dell.com you can get one for around $230 before tax and score an even better deal if you buy a discounted dell.com giftcard from ebay.

I am pretty sure a lot of people from CAG who ordered one had their issues.
