Are a lot of stores trying to get rid of all their stock of this item? That's what it seems like, they must be making way for the other xbox 360 elite bundle (halo 3 and fable).

I've only seen one of these in stock at a B&M in the last few months at a Toys R Us in a bad part of town.. I think they were actually a lot more limited than anyone expected (self included). $399 was the retail price, this isn't any sort of clearance price or something.

You can still find these on eBay new with shipping for slightly over and under $400.
