I don't think "The Perfect Offer" (not really...those aren't exactly stellar choices to choose the five titles from, which would explain why they're effectively FREE) works with this, as the PDF states that the buyer of the HD-DVD add-on needs the "original or copy of
cash register receipt". I don't know...can anyone confirm that any sort of receipt shipped with the packaging would suffice?
If it does, lackluster choices or not, I'd be very tempted to 'jump in' at this pricepoint, as $180 is still about $25-$30 higher than my personal 'tipping point'.
P.S. Worst-case scenario, how long before the HD-DVD experiment is over? I've already conceded that Blu-Ray will win sooner or/than later, but could we really see the format dead within the next twelve months, pending releases completely scrapped? And if it dies quickly, will we see affordably-priced combo-format players down the line? What a

ing mess. Thanks, warring formats!!
You can thank Sony for overpricing the format players. HD-DVD players were always closer to the consumer affordable side.
That's why I won't be buying a Blu-Ray player until it's in the $100-$200 range, which will never happen. Basically, I will never buy a Blu-Ray player.
