Carnival games monkey see absolutely blows.

I got it on clearance at local target to flip and decided to play it with my daughter some. Physics are messed up, most of the games are extremely simple (ring toss) and get boring after 5 minutes. It doesn't even showcase what the kinect can do like kinect adventures does (hole plug really shows interacting your whole body)

Wow they copied the 2010 bundle with ODST and Fable 2 and just put the newer games in there, and Reach is a download token. Fail.

I guess something free is better than nothing.

yeah, these are not great, seriously, bring the U.S. the 5 game bundle that Canada (?) is getting...

IDK, I'm holding out for the SW LE console if it ever sees the light of day..

Been considering upgrading my 120 GB Elite for a 250 GB S model or higher. I think I might hold out for the 320 GB S model. I already have Halo Reach. I want Fable III to come with all the DLC on disc, if I'm not getting the collector's edition.

The Kinect bundle seems nice, especially if it comes with Child of Eden. I already have PS move, so I'm more interested in that version of CoE. Probably have to pick up that Nyko zoom thing since my room is small like a dorm room.

Also, I want the Star Wars limited edition a bit more. If that thing price drops to $400 and some additional offers, then I'll be more inclined to go for that bundle.

I would love that as I picked up the 360 later in it's life and as such have been picking up a lot of the older hits for cheap to play through
Very poor offering.
yup. something is better than nothing, at least theres some resale value for this lol.

With the numbers they've been moving on hardware, I guess MS doesn't feel as pressured as they have in the past and there is nothing special for the 4gb either. With the PS3 at $250 and hard drive equipped 360 at $300, I don't know if this is going these bundles are going to be sufficient to overcome that $50 price point difference, esp when the gift card promos start showing up. The non-kinect bundle almost seems more of a 'come on and upgrade your old 360 already' bundle rather than one aimed at new users....Two M rated games is a bit unusual as well....While they did that in the past, they also had other more family friendly bundles for with similar hardware at the same time, so consumers weren't 'forced' to buy M rated games to get that level of a 360. That doesn't look like it is the case this time around.

That $299 bundle looks good. I feel like my old xbox is going to die on me soon. Hopefully there will be some gift card deals so I can snag one.
I'd rather a 250GB at $250.
Really! I'm surprised that MS hasn't lowered their prices by $50 to match Sony. Is the Xbox 360 selling that much better than the PS3?

Here is an interesting analysis that might explain some of this. MS has been selling more 360s at a higher average price than they were last year, so in that light, yeah, they probably aren't feeling the need to come out guns blazing, even in the face the PS3 price cut two months ago.

The free xbox 360 promotion ended early into last months npd figures, which is likely the reason the average price is now back to normal. The free 360s for months now were getting sold at retail and rang up for 0.00 but still count on npd as a 360 sold. Promo now over tho.

The Xbox sure has been selling well. I was looking at the data and charts in the linked article, and then did some research of my own. In January of 2010, 39 million consoles had been sold worldwide since launch. In March of 2011, that number jumps to 53.6 million. That's 14.6 million consoles in 15 months, almost a million per month. That's crazy.

I'm disappointed. My 360 came down with RRoD early this summer. I was hoping to find a good deal this holiday season--these just are not doing not for me.

Now if they lowered the price to $250 in order to compete with Sony...

damn. i was all excited to pick up the Fable/Reach Holiday Bundle (been dying to get a 360 ever since i heard about Halo Anniversary, but i didn't want to buy the Gears bundle due to its cost). but all your comments is making me feel like i would be stupid to do so...

You shouldn't feel stupid at all to pick this up. I don't like this bundle just because I already have halo and fable, just like most of the other people who dont like it. But if you dont have these games and want a new 360 then inthink it's a great deal. Never feel stupid about getting good and free games. :)

yeah, its appealing since it would be my first 360 (i owned two 1st gen xboxes back in the day). the reason that i held off on buying a 360 was because of all the RROD issues. it seems much better than it was before. but now that i think of it, i don't want to chance it. so....

will this holiday bundle ever show up in Costco? i have no idea if the 'holiday bundles' from the years prior have been sold at Costco or not... after reading about Micro$oft cutting the 3 year warranty down to 1, i feel much better with buying it at Costco. if it weren't for the extra controller, bright red case, and $100 markup...i would consider the Gears bundle.

It is litterally impossible to red ring the new 360s. They don't even have red leds. They are much better than the old ones and microsoft will fix it for free. Honestly anyone bringing up the RROD in 2011 is enter a Sony Fanboy or un-informed.

Holiday bundles have showed up at Costco in the past. They currently have the Gears of War 3 bundle, I would expect them to get some of the other special bundles as well.

I just traded in my 360 Elite for credit at Amazon, so I'm waiting for a decent deal on a Slim, preferably a 250gb or 320gb one. Too bad I missed out on the $75 credit Kinect bundle.

just stopped by the Costco next to my house. the 360 holiday bundles aren't on sale yet. but the girl that works there told me that it'll be on the floor on Monday morning, if not by Sunday morning.

on a related note, they marked down the Gears bundle by $10. so now its $389.99 at your local B&M Costco.

The xbox deal is terrible compared to the Sony deal and the xbox in general is just over priced as hell right now. Anyone care to explain why a PS3 w/ about the same hd space is 50 dollars CHEAPER than an xbox AND includes a blu ray player? On top of that m$ bundles two old games that are worth not even $20 each with their black friday bundle while sony throws out two high quality more valuable titles and even more extras?
The reason this frustrates me so much is that my xbox just broke (surprise surprise) and I am in need of a new one but the thing is just WAY over priced for what you get/compared to the competition. Hell the 360 is like 6 years old now and at LAUNCH it was purchasable for $300 (I realize w/o all the HD space but the point remains).. thats a fucking joke that it still fetches that for such old hardware with no improvements other than nothing breaking as easy (which shouldn't have been a problem in the first place). I am no fan boy, 360 is my favorite system, but i am frustrated by their greed.

The MW 3 edition isn't a bad deal @ $399... A $60 game and 2 controllers and a 320 GB hard drive? Plus, resale will be better if you ever want to trade up or unload it. If you don't want a connect, it's fair...

PS... Obviously not a great deal for a CAG, but for a fan of COD, it's FAIR... (so please don't flame me for saying so...)

I think the MW3 or the Gears bundles are fair deals but they are better if you are just starting out with xbox, like me rather than for someone who already owns additional controllers and other items and just needs a replacement system because their's broke. If you sold the game and one controller out of each bundle you would make out pretty well, provided you don't need the second controller.

They are a decent deal, but I think they are ugly as hell. I just need a replacement system as well, don't need extra controllers, only marginally interested in COD and GOW3. Now if they had a Batman AC console, or had the Star Wars one without Kinect, then I'd definitely be interested.

I might just end up buying a 4GB Slim and a 3rd party 250GB hard drive. Total would be around $250. That's still better to me than a holiday bundle. Really don't want to wait till BF for a good deal...

A bundle with a 250GB HD? It's a no go for me. I'd rather get the CoD:MW3 bundle for $400, which comes with the game, 2 controllers and the newest 320GB HD.

The thing does looks hideous but I think it's a deal.

I actually like the look of the MW3 console which is why I am getting it (also for the bigger hard drive and extra controller), if you put it in a TV stand like I am doing you will only see the front of it anyways, and yes it will be properly ventilated. Its better than having the black one that everyone else has.

The MW3 console is matte finish too, and because of the design of the console if you get scratches on it you will never see them which is a good thing.

no, you're clearly a fanboy who has their panties in a bunch. do you even play video games? xbox was redesigned, its much smaller, cooler, more reliable, bigger HD.

i find it laughable you consider bundle items to be considered in the decision of whats "overpriced". most people don't use up all 250gb of the hard drive, so an extra 50 isn't a dealbreaker. PSN blows, lacks cross game chat, etc. the controller sucks too, not even remotely as ergonomic and comfortable as the xbox one. better Controller + xbox live being more popular in america = winning.

i've yet to hear of any slims breaking...

how are you defining high quality? lol. bundle seems to be aimed at children, LBP2 is a love it or hate it game. halo reach is a popular shooter right now that most people probably want. Fable 3 is more for the rpg crowd(non shooter, etc). fwiw, both xbox games are one year old, which is not what you'd typically call old games.

I think you two are wearing the same panties.

hey u finally cought up on the news announced few weeks back. its probably the worst 360 holiday bundles Microsoft had.
I think you two are wearing the same panties.
mine came pre-bundled with rationality and maturity...you dont see me shitting up ps3 bundle threads.

checked the Costco by work today @ Noon. they didn't have the bundles on the floor. i went to customer service and asked when it would be available for purchase, but the person had no idea what i was talking about.

i'm gonna check the Costco next to home. hopefully it'll be there. i really want to get the system, but i don't feel comfortable buying it from Gamestop (even though they apparently have it in stock).
