Xbox 360 Lian-Li case.... would you dare??

CAGiversary!
Got this off Engadget this morning: http://www.engadget.com/2008/08/14/lian-lis-xbox-360-rrod-relief-chassis-now-shipping/

Apparrently this thing is supposed to seize the RRoD to happen again due to proper cooling. However by buying this case you are both voiding your warranty and making your 360 bulkier. Looks like a Mac Pro to me. Installation seems simple but would you buy one? Discuss.

Wouldn't this get banned from Xbox live somehow? I thought I heard something about... fan voltages and the systems reporting that value?

Hmm... that would be interesting but if that is the case then there would have to be a warning that you might get banned. As well there is no warnings for the water cooling systems for the 360 either which would also change the voltage.

I still wouldn't chance it. Especially for one hundred and fifty dollars on top of what could potentially end up as another three hundred or so to buy a new 360.

Lian-Li cases are the best when they come to custom PC's. I have an older one and it looks great and holds everything I need. This one looks interesting but I like to see how well this one cools a 360.

Actually 62t is right. What do you do once your done your 3 years (Given you did not add the extra 2 years by paying for them). Honestly it's cheaper that buying a new 360 (debatable however once that time comes since arcades are down to 199 but it does looklik e fun project. Thing is tho, if I am going to open up a 360 like this and put it int this case I might was wel go all the way and water cool the damn thing while I'm at it.

You probably dont have to water cool the 360 if its in this case since it is made out of aluminum. Aluminum tends to get a lot more cooler compared to plastic.

No i meant to say the watercooling part because the case has holes for the hoses and pump. I know the case will keep it cool enough. I'm just saying why not go all the way then if you're going to dismantle the 360 like that.
