Xbox 360 License transfer expired (loophole?)

Hi my names Elmore. I was wondering if anybody could direct me to a thread or help me out with a situation? My friend had just transfered his xbox licenses from an old xbox 360 to a new one about 8 months ago. The new one came up with error 74 or somethin'. He has too many gigs of saved games and DLC's to lose. His old xbox says he has to wait 4 months to use the DLC's he paid for. I was wondering if any CAG'S know of a loophole around that or a thread with similar discussions? Thank you for your time. Newbie CAG lmoemcee out. P.S. I have a new xbox arcade do you think that would help if I lent it to him?

He did use his account and was signed into xbox live at the time. It still told him he'd have to wait 4 months because he already transfered it 8 months ago. I think it's the xbox itself because he has a removable hard drive. He removed it from his newer broken xbox to his older xbox but before that he had transfered the license from his older xbox to his newer one. It's probably a security measure. I just hope there's a loop hole.

You only need to transfer licenses unless you aren't using the account that purchased it or if you are offline. Until the four months are over, you are stuck with playing on the original account, online but so long as that account is connected to live, you can use anything that you purchased.
