Xbox 360 Mountain Dew 10 Min. Giveaway...

Which stores are carrying 6 packs of 20 oz. Dew? I went to Wal-mart, K-mart, Meijer, and Kroger and all of these stores are carrying 6 - 24 oz bottles. Are the 24oz bottles ever going to be part of the promotion?

Nope, just 20oz and 1-liter bottles, and the multipacks of cans with 2 or 3 codes.

I was thinking about putting in some codes tonight.

I noticed something.

Most timeslots are about 1000 codes.

the 5:50 AM slot has 18,071 codes. I smell foul play. Some one has to be making up codes or something with some sort of generator.

Edit: I did a little hunting around and it sounds like someone has some sort of automated SQL script/hack to submit codes, if they just get rejected, they keep submitting codes. LAMERS. Make sure to hang onto your caps until you know if you've won, Pepsi might start asking for them.

Sunday morning had, about, 80 every time slot.
 
I've got about 400 codes. What would be the best strategy to increase my chances of winning? Should I drop them early in a slot a day or so off or wait until I see a smaller drawing (around 350) and match that number for a 50/50 shot.

Stay up late on a Monday/Tuesday night and wait for a early Thursday slot to open up and dump all your codes in it as soon as it opens up. If you dump all 400 in it as soon as it opens up you might scare some people away from that slot, giving you better odds.
 
so that method would be better than staying up early and spreading that 100s in 4 of those slots as soon as they open? I might be doing that but don't want to be the one that dumps and loses everything, you know?
 
However, you dont want to save them too long, because many others are saving theres and caps havent even reached a lot of places yet. The end will have many more entries than at present, so dont wait too long.

That's what I've been looking for too. I've only seen the single 20 oz. bottles with the caps and those are about $1 each. There is a corner store down the street that has Mtn. Dew for 89 cents (sign in the front). I'm assuming those are the bottles but I have yet to go in and check the caps. I'll probably get 2 or 3.

Read the 'Official Rules' and you'll see that they'll begin distributing more codes next month in 12 pks (12 oz. cans). 2 codes per box -- which kinda sucks.
 
Well..I still haven't won.
I wasn't the first person from South Dakota, and as of early this morning, I wasn't even the first person from my hometown.
D.B. Milbank, SD...I should figure out who this is.

When people got all "gimmie gimmie" without wanting to do any work themselves. Or at the very least read the goddamn thread where it's revealed the email referrals were stopped, oh, I don't know, like a month ago.

It seems that M.S. from Pittsburgh, PA has won at least 8 times since this contest has started, I think he won the slot the one night that had the 23,000 codes in it and the second time slot he won today had 4500 codes in it.

The highest entry I was able to do was 4 caps and I lost...blah....hah u can thank me later when you decide when and when not to use your points or by giving me some free codes of course lol...I only got like 2 codes lol you could help me out u can pm

Guys I am now going to stop drinking pepsis, mountain dew, sierra mist. I had 121 caps entered into a drawing against 11 and I lost........WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This was maybe one of the first drawings in august.

10% or 20% arent that great of odds... 50% isnt even ideal, its a coin flip...

You might as well go ahead and fiqure those averages by 2,000. I haven't seen one drawing end under with less than 1,700-1,800 as of this past week and and half, and quite a few end around the 2000-2100. I lost last Sunday at 12:00am with 360 points. I was the first to enter. Bad idea on my part. The damn thing ended at a higher average than most around 2300. 1 in 6 odds still wasn't good enough.

Some people win with 4, some have lost with 400.
 
Actually my friend just lost, he works for Pepsi Co. and sort of illegally got 1000 codes and will probably do it again on another account, so I'll be getting 800 more(I already played 200) But like i said up there in august i put 121 and 79 in 2 different drawings, and both times i lost to the exact same intials in the exact same city... B.G. San Francisco, CA, I might be taking a trip there soon with a phonebook.
 
I don't know if it's been mentioned yet but now they don't list the initials for the winner, only the city and state. Sucks for people who live in big cities since there is a chance of seeing your city listed and getting excited only to find out you weren't the winner. I guess that could apply to smaller cities as well but it seems less likely.

Nope they stopped listing intials on September 23. Seems like a very stupid move to me, and if it wasn't for the winners from CAG I would stop playing, because you don't knowif anyone is winning, just random towns/cities being listed.

What I completely don't understand, is that on the winning board this state that if you do win you will get a comfirmation in 72 hours, but as people that are following this and the other thread, thats not the case. So I wonder if they changed their method to notify winners in 72 hours. Because like YoshiFan1 said it would suck if your town came up during a time slot that you entered in.

Odd, maybe a webmaster found some suspicious activity. It sucks how greed and scamming by the masses effects the little man. Eveyone knew going into this contest odds were against you, but to do illegal things to win e.g. code generate is F'ed up. Congrats to the true winners.
 
Seems like this contest is really starting to get out of hand. I've never seen a contest conducted so poorly. Looks like I might be backing out from this thing very soon....

And you can bet that a contest like this will probably not happen again because of all the illegal activity thats going on. Oh well, it was one of those good ideas of paper type of thing.
 
Damn I just saw that too, the whole day is already maxed out on codes I guess. What is the max codes for each time slot? I noticed 12:10 tonight after midnight "only" had like 1600 codes in it so I put in for that.
 
They have started sending out the free codes to the people who referred other people to the contest, I got 5 free codes in each of my 4 e-maill addresses today.

oh dam i knew i wasnt dreaming.. i posted earlier that someone with my initals in my town won 9/19 3:20am timeslot. then it got replaced by some person in south bend,IN.. but now it shows both my city and the IN one for 3:20am.. why are they messing with my head? is there a number to call to ask about winners?
