xbox 360 no video output?

I bought one from craigslist, and I'm hoping that I could fix it and trade it to gamestop towards a new system. Is there any way that I could fix it or I could just trade it to gamestop with refurb fee? And also, it came with charge and play controller, will they accept this? Thanks in advance.

When my first 360, broke it had no video output. Most likely, the solder around the GPU got too hot and became loose or something. The GPU on mine crapped out from overheating and had to be sent in for repair.
