I was browsing on craigslist and for a new xbox 360 premium for $250. I emailed the guy and he said it was still available and i could pick it up friday. Is there any way to get scammed on craislist cause this seems really cheap?

Is there any way to get scammed? ..uh, yeah, you could pay and they don't deliver. Or if you meet in person, he could take your money and kick you in the balls. There's always a way to get scammed.

Or you could be paying for a $250 dollar paper weight that looks and feels like a 360 but will never power up or play any of the new fangled next gen games.

You could go to his house and he could answer the door with a gun. Or he could answer and tie you up and hang you upside down. Or he could feed you to his pet lions.

on november 2006 i got myself a used bundle on craigslist, wich included: an xbox 360 premium, extra wireless controler, intercooler, 2 charge kits, battery charge station, two faceplates, dvd remote control, Rainbow six vegas, Saints row, Dead Rising, madden 06, SmackDown vs. RAW 2007 for only $360 dollars!!!!!!

it seemed to good to be true but i called the guy, he showed up with every thing
we hooked it up, and every thing worked

so my sugestion is buy only if you can try it first, no mailing services etc.

Ps i live in vegas and i've also seen used 360 premiums go for $260 at the local swapmeet

He's 6'8, 430 pounds and his cellmates nicknamed him papa love.

But they might tie you both up and make you watch them take advantage of her. I don't think she'd be so happy since it's just over a friggin 360. $10,000 gambling debt, maybe, but not a friggin 360.

You're 6'6 and only weigh 200? You must be pretty skinny:bomb:

I'm 6'4 200, your not safe until you break 250. saying 6'? 250 is nice and intimidating, saying 6'? 200 is mreh.

It's a sad world we live in... nowadays a person can't even get a good deal on a video game console without the risk of getting shot, stabbed, or buttsecksed.

My buddy just drove 20 miles from Berkeley to San Rafael to pick up a 360 bundle. $400 got him a premium system, extra wireless pad, Godfather, Table Tennis, Madden 07, Fifa 07, Gears of War, R6:Vegas, and another game I can't think of off the top of my head. We played Gears all last weekend and it plays great.

Craigslist is chock full of both great deals and scams. After using it for awhile you figure out some of the red flags and can start kinda screening emails and posts for them. Personally, one thing I look for is an articulate, detailed listing. You'd be amazed how much a person's manner of typing can tell you about them and their intentions. I typically correspond with someone a good half dozen times before setting a meeting up, and usually I make sure it's damn convenient for me in case someone decides to be a flake. In the case of a great deal that I need to travel for, I'm very persistent with questions and usually get in contact by phone before going anywhere. If they're willing to go through that little bit of trouble, they're usually honest.

That said, I've never been scammed or screwed over in any way in over 50 various transactions on craigslist. Just be careful and be sensible.

Gettin us confused smell?:twoguns:

The main thing I like about craigslist is try before you buy. For selling the main point is cash transactions! Always try something out and for big transactions, bring a friend along. Craigslist scammers aren't quite as smart as ebay scammers. Common sense goes a long way when buying.

TahoeMax is right. If a posting has bad spelling/grammer, don't even bother with it. Chances are you aren't going to get everything you thought you'd get.
