Xbox 360 Slim All Black Controller - $29.99 with FS

That's a good price, if you want the new black-on-black design. I think the original black controller (with grey trim) is on sale at Dell, but this is a good price on its own merits.

Can someone who owns it confirm that this one has the improved D-Pad like that weird green that never made it stateside.

As far as I can tell they did not update the dpad

Um yes these are new. These are the new design/look for the controllers that come with the 360 S. I personally have been holding out on getting a 2nd controller for my 360 S due to them looking different. I hope Toys R Us carries these when the $15 off coupon comes into play. If they are $40 MSRP like Newegg says then these would be $25 and I would easily get it.

Xbox 360 S controllers are the ones included with the new version that are all black. None of that crappy gray on the back of the controller or on the control pad. It also has a shinier chrome Xbox symbol button.

The previously standard black controller is more of a gray-ish. The sooner these controllers are bought up by people who don't know the difference (like you) the better so the rest of us who know the difference can get the newer ones with the superior look. :D

The wireless controllers are great, but the accessory pack is a necessity. They have it at Newegg for $59 including shipping, but if you order the wireless controller and the accessory pack separately it comes out to $48 bucks. I'm jumping on that deal now.

These new slim controllers suck. They are smaller than the original Xbox 360 controllers and are not as grippy on the underside where your ring and pinkie fingers hold the controller. It is a shiny, slippery plastic now instead of the the more rubbery or matte feel to the old ones. The thumbsticks are also also closer together, which threw off my aim in BFBC2 and MW2.

After I got my 360 slim I actually bought the Wireless 360 controller for Windows so I could have the old controller style rather than the new one (and so I could get the wireless dongle for PC). New people to the 360 probably wont even notice the change but if you have been using an older controller for awhile and play a lot of shooters you will notice instantly.
