Xbox 360 Surround sound help!

I have a Logitech Z-5300e 5.1 surround sound system, but only the front left/ right speakers work. Currently I have a VGA cable for the video quality hooked up but I still have the component cable (incase I need it).

In the audio side of it I have an adapter for the front speakers (green one side and Red+white on the other) but I need something to let me use the other speakers there are two more cords from the speakers for rear and center/sub those are orange-ish and black cords.

Sorry if a lot of this is vague but anything will help.

Actually I chave another question: What if I got the optical cable and used the component cable for the 360 is there an adapter (or something) to let my speakers use the optical cable?

Nope, do a google search for "Convert optical to RCA" and you'll see that it can't be done without some sort of expensive decoder.
Yup, kind of a pain in the ass to do surround with a 360 lol.. expensive :)
no its not, if you are using component cables, there is a jack right on the cable for optical out

i personally am using an hdmi cable with the optical audio dongle

wait so your speakers dont have an optical in? i have the logitech z5500 and they do

no, it doesnt have optical in....damn, oh well ill probably just get a new sound system

*edit
