Xbox Arcade + Bonus Wireless Controller $190 at Amazon

thanks for the heads up OP. just got my order updated by Amazon CS and they added a Black Controller. would have preffered a white one but a free controller is a free controller so can't whine about it.

I want to know what you're doing with your first 3.

I assumed ur previous 3 got the RROD awards?
i'm tempted to pick this up but with the possible slim unveiling, arcades might drop to 99$ :/
360 slim? I'd be quite happy if they released that :D

omg.

i'm going to have to seriously consider this... my 360 is no longer under any kind of warranty and the disc drive is starting to crap out. I already have a 120gb HDD and multiple types of cables, so this could be my chance to get a backup Xbox + 2 wireless controllers (one in box, one extra) for only $160. Hmmm

Ugh, I keep thinking of getting another console, but I wanted another Elite (picky about the color). This is such a good deal though. Need to think this one over.

They are all working. You know, Forza lets you hook up 3 consoles together so you get the full panoramic view from the car.

Plus now I can test 4 player online XNA development.

Each house should have a minimum of 2 XBOXs for Saints' Row 2 and Crackdown co-op.

What a brilliant contribution. It was a true privilege to have read such a well articulated post.

Wow, this is a great deal - very tempting. If a newer model were not suspected, I'd be all over this.

"CAG in Training"
You might want to lurk about in this forum for a bit before jumping in.
Really this "I've been here longer, therefore I know better" mentality is BS.

Either way, the "CAG in Training" is a douche. Lighten up.

Nice deal. Would pick it up if i didn't buy my spring bundle last week. Whats up with everyone thinking a 360 slim is coming out in the next month or 2? Probably wont see it till the end of the year.

Ummm, not sure where you get any air of superiority from me, I'm just telling the guy his words aren't fitting in with the community. This would be obvious spending a bit of time reading before typing.

This is very tempting but I just don't know. I'm considering a 360 but if a slim comes out I probably won't have to worry about RROD. Plus I heard last year something about that if a new version of the 360 came out that Natal would be integrated into the console or something like that. Tough decision.

I have 4. One in my daughter's bedroom, one on the big screen in the basement, one on our main TV upstairs and my floater elite. The XBox is an amazing multimedia machine.

I don't understand why people would ONLY buy Xbox 360's. I mean I can see the use for multirooms, but to only get that console when there are a ton of "why the hell would you miss out on this game?" games on the PS3. I'd at least own 1 of each then multiple ones of the one you really want so you get the all the best games seeing as they are both great multimedia machines (the PS3 even more so).

I don't understand, either. But.. what're ya gonna do?

Ummm, how would Natal be integrated into a console? You mean as a bundle? Yes that's for sure but it's not gonna ever be like built into the actual system

I disagree. After wiring the house I can stream full 1080p movies in multiple formats to any xbox on the network with windows media center, or just by connecting to the computers. Both the 360 and PS3 are "capped" at 1080p, but the 360 has a higher GPU to sustain the streaming with no lag.

I actually bought a 2nd XBOX with this insane deal. I have one from March of 2006 and a 60 GB HD I purchased. It is just starting to make a grinding noise when the disks stop spinning, so I am going to make a preemptive strike to the things just dying.

I assume if you have 2 xbox 360's you can just pop the HD off and slap it on the other one if you want to play on a different TV?

This would be great because I could play downstairs when the wife is watching her shows I don't watch with her lol

You make it sound like MS is going to suddenly learn how to design good hardware. They have had nothing but issues with the Xbox and Xbox 360. Until the Slim is out for a year, and there can be significant data compiled about its reliability, I would not assume anything. This is a pretty damn good deal, and if I wanted to buy a 360 or get another one, I would definitely jump on this now.
I don't understand why people would ONLY buy Xbox 360's.
Not everyone wants more than one console or has the time to actually make use of them. Pretty simple.

I understand what you are saying lol as I purchased it I thought well do I REALLY need a 2nd xbox 360? In my case have one pretty close to launch with no HDMI port and running Louder than my 1983 Ford Escort, It seemed like a good deal to me.

I owned a PS3 at Launch and never used it for anything but a Blu-Ray player. Once I bought a surround system with the Blu-Ray player I just sold the PS3 since people were begging for the backwards compatibility ones. I made more selling that thing and came out ahead on my whole surround system.

Thanks Big Daddy I have the Wireless adapter I will leave on my Upstairs system and I ran a 100 foot Ethernet wired cable to my basement for my DirecTV on-demand, I am just going to buy a router and plug the 360 in and the HD receiver from that. Both consoles will be able to connect to LIVE easy enough I think

If I read your comment correctly, it may be easier to buy an Ethernet hub and another long cable.

I will try to explain what I hope will work. I have a wireless router upstairs. I used one of the wired ports to run a long cable through the floor in my basement to hook up my direcTV receiver for on demand. I was hoping to just hook that line to some sort of switch or a router/hub type item and then run a line from the box to my xbox and my receiver.

I mean the worst case scenario is I just unplug the cable from one and then into the other. I am just lazy though most of the time lol

Honestly I could buy another 100 foot cable but the way it has to be run is an amazingly hard chore and I have to fish the line from under the ceiling crammed in a corner because the house is a split level. It took hours to just pull the one line through.

We have a PS3 also.

Replace the controller with a video game and an extended warranty and I'll bite at that price.

I have a PS3 and love it, but it would be cool to check out Xbox 360 exclusives along with trying original Xbox games.

I'm going to go for it. Although I only plan on having one game that will take advantage of that extra controller, Forza Motorsport 3. I will be done with FFXIII soon and ready to move into the Mass Effect series. It will be my second console along my PS3 so I think the Arcade is a good fit, I may go without a hard drive or buying a wireless adapter.

Ummm, maybe because an arcade is half the price of the PS3, given you can trade in the second free controller for $15 or so.
try using the ps3 for games. that works wonders.
Yah, but

how about 360 is for parties, PS3 online infrastructure sux too much for good online experience

In for one. My "old one" that I got from a trade deal on CAG crapped out within four months, and it's just been sitting around doing nothing. This is cheap enough and timely enough that I can pick one up.
Pretty good deal. But if I buy it, it will probably just die again like my previous 2.
Are you excluded from the 3 year warranty?
