XBox: Breakdown 19.99, Tenchu 29.99 @ Target on 4-20

Tomorrow Target's going to have temporary price cuts on the X-Box games Breakdown (19.99) and Tench 29.99. Also, for PS2 Conflict Desert Storm 2 & Midnight Club 2 are both going to be 29.99. The cut is good until the end of May

Breakdown is worth the $20. I paid $50 and got a free copy of Dead To Rights.

I've seen Tenchu for $30 somewhere else recently. Makes me hesitate if it's already this cheap.

Wow didn't Breakdown come out like 2 weeks ago, its already below half price!?!? Is it that bad or something?

Probably being used as a loss leader. Breakdown is a damn good game (from Namco). Dominated my gaming time when I first got it.
Is this at all Targets or just specific ones?
I have to get Breakdown for $20.
I would assume all Targets, but can't guarentee that. Definitely all Targets in the midwest district

I got Breakdown free when GS was doing that buy 2 used get 1 free deal. I might just go pick up another copy for $20. Great game. Anyone who doesn't have it should get it.
Wow, that's an excellent price for Breakdown. Thank you.

Where did you hear about this deal?
I set up the sale signs for it at the store

breakdown has easily the stupidest, most poorly conceived final battle series in any game, ever. Prior to that, I'd have definitely recommended it for $20, but given how completely idiotic it is, and how it exploits every single flaw in the game engine to make it difficult, rather than being legitimately difficult, expect to destroy a controller if you're trying to beat the game. In two hours, I went from thinking it was an interesting, innovative, if flawed game, to hating it with the passion of a thousand blazing suns. Seriously, it's one of the stupidest, worst designed battles in gaming history, bar none, and I've been playing games for more than two decades.

Sounds like someone got PWNED!!!11!!!eleven!!

its not in the sales ad...so i dont think its going to be in any of the 3 targets near me...

question...how do you price match something if its not in the ad? what store allows that? my stores always need the ad or else they tell me to eff off

I've been waiting for Conflict Desert Storm 2 to drop price for a while. Guess it's a good time to pick it up. I got a question though, anyone know if the PS2 version has a 4 player multiplayer mode like the Xbox version?

hmm... i may have to get breakdown, but then again I want hitman contracts and that 20 bucks can go towards hitman....

Has anyone confirmed this yet it seems rather far fatched. I tried calling a few local targets but after being disconnected when they tried to transfer me to electronics 3 times at two different stores I gave it up. I already own Breakdown but I was quite curious for some reason.

I can not confirm, but I went to Target last night (before the sale was supposed to start, I realize), and the shelf tag for Breakdown had been removed. It still rang up as $49.99 at that point, but the removal of shelf tag could be a good sign (or just par for the course).

Breakdown is one of the best xbox exclusive games out. It also has one of the best stories for a non RPG game. I just got rid of it since I beat it, but may pick it up again for $20.

Has anyone verified that Breakdown is $19.99? I called the Target near me and they said it was $49.99, but he did not actually ring it up.

i just got home from my local target in bel air, md....i asked the guy about it and told him the deal before he rung it up (it was shelved at 49.99 still)...when he rang it up, it came to 19.99...he was at the register for a couple minutes typing in stuff though...so i dunno if he gave me that price because thats what it was, or 'cause hes a homo and thought i was cute...or 'cause he didn't care...oh well....i got my breakdown...also picked up a couple copies of fatal frame 2 for ps2 at best buy for 9.99 ;o)

just called gaystop...they said a trade in for a brand new Breakdown would only fetch me 18 dollars...so its kinda worth buying it and trading it in...if you like to lose a few bucks each time

I'll be at a target in upstate NY this afternoon, I will have ocnfirmation of this deal either way very soon...

Ok. I called one Target, he said $49.99. I called a second one he said it would be $19.99 at all stores. Went to the first one I called, which was closer and sure enough, it was $19.99.

I was just at target today and saw it. The guy price matched it at best buy and I got it for $17.99 (shoulda been $16.99 with the 10% the difference thing).

How did you get them to price match? Did they call up Target?

no gamers gift card?

Can anyone confirm if this is available at all Targets? Im in southern CA and would love to scoop this game for $20.

If there are any in the area, you should check GameRush at blockbuster

I'm semi-tempted by this one. Game got kind of dissapointing reviews though. (From the build-up I was hoping/expecting it to score in the mid-80s+, it has a 74% at gamerankings.)

Game must be selling like crap as if it was meant to be a loss leader it would be featured prominently on their weekly ad not snuck in mid-week as a temp price cut IMO.

ebgames.com is currently offering $22 for Breakdown. Not sure if you'd get the same amount at the B&M or not.
not at mines in Va.
Does this mean that the games were not present at that Target, or that the prices were not as stated in this thread. If the latter, did you actually get them to check it? Because the tag on Breakdown that I bought still showed $49.99, but it was only $19.99.

Dazz, where are you in VA? I'm from Bad News (Newport News). I live in Blacksburg (where VT is) now.

Back on topic: I hope Va stores carry this deal. I could use anohter copy for trade bait.
