If you want to be thanked for dropping a code here by the person who gets it then ask for people to PM you, do first to quote, do a stupidly hard puzzle or do the fake url trick. Those methods will encourage people to thank you (The PM one kind of enforces it) otherwise just reside yourself to the fact you're dropping a code on the internet for random people and they might not say thanks.
 
Well you throw a plate of meat on the floor, you can't get mad when the dogs eat it. Hearing all the bitching about lurkers does gets quite old. And it just makes people sound like whiney bitches cuz they didn't get anything. Not because someone didn't have the courtesy to say thanks.Just my opinion, since everyone else is stating theirs.
 
You should make it really fun for the codes, like solving riddles or making them post funny pictures! If only I had more codes to drop there would be way more fun, haha. I do appreciate the people who say "lurked" because it saves the time of trying the codes, though people who actually complain about the lurkers need to be ignored. For the most part though people on these forums are really nice.

The first time ever I actually caught a drop. Thanks so much, dmzauk. I just want to demonstrated it wasn't lurked. I only tried 3 codes, after the first two failed, I was surprised I actually got one to go through on the third try. I played nice and stopped there, to be fair in hopes someone else gets something too (and hopefully prove not lurked).

Those have been bulk dropped a few times in the past, so most people already have one. If he had dropped the same number of codes for that XBL Rewards couch prop, they'd probably be gone in minutes.
