Just pulled my xbox headset out of the closet to try to play MW2 last night, turns out the mic doesnt work. Anyone know of any good deals on a new one? Those new throat communicators look pretty neat, but right now I'm just looking for something cheap.
 
Have you tried Sears or Kmart for the Vision Pack bundle? They're $4 @ Kmart(out of system now though I think) and $5 or so at Sears.

It comes with the Vision camera and a wired headset.
 
I went with a plantronics headset from Amazon for $9.99. It has great reviews and a great price. It'll be at my house in about 3 hours. I'm actually more excited about using it with my cell phone while at work than I am about using it on Live.

 
I had 5-6 of the Vision Cam sets at one point on my trade list, but I always had everybody offering me $2 shipped for the cam or $3 shipped for the headset, which wouldn't even cover the actual shipping costs, so I dumped them all at Gamestop for $10 a set.
 
:D Damn straight. Mind ya, I would've been happy to help someone out, if they at least gave me a realistic offer and didn't expect me to lose money to help them out.

If they wanted the items for the prices they quoted, I could've always sent them Parcel Post in a normal envelope and super glued it shut to try and get it there, but real packaging takes money they didn't wanna offer.:razz:
 
I ended up posting on my FB status that I needed a new one, and someone gave me their OEM headset. I also found out you can use pretty much any cell phone headset that has one of those mini plugs, so my coworker gave me the headset that came with his BlackBerry, but theres no volume control on that one, and it looks like the mute button doesn't work when I tested it last night.
