I too had that promo credit in my account. I put the $40 card in my cart and hopped on customer service chat. Told them my promo credit for a 12 month subscription wouldn't apply on the pay screen.

The CS guy had me place my order for the $40 card and manually applied the $10 credit to my order afterwards. Boom, $30 12 month Gold sub and no more promo credit! \\:D/

Lucky :D Before this was used by many on SDs and maybe here, I tried to get them to convert that same promo credit to an Amazon GC so I can use it on a sub card or game but I was denied twice. Unfortunately, those digital codes never go on sale.
 
is this sale gonna end tomorrow? I ordered pokemon black with the $10 credit and I won't get the credit until it ships which won't be till after tomorrow.
