XBOX Live Help

when i tried to setup xbox live with my free trial card from Halo 2, it didn't work. all cables were connected but the DNS (?) could not be found. also, my IP could not be confirmed and was wondering were to get this to enter it manually into the xbox. anyone with instructions or help, it would be greatly appreciated

You should be using DHCP and you should get DNS from the DHCP server.

It should be on automatic detection. If you call Comcast or XBox support, they can help you out. My Live was a breeze to set up, and I use Comcast internet service..

same with me. Just make sure you have a compatible router if you are using one, and make sure all cables wires on completley, and make sure your modem and router, if using one, are on

It should autodetect it. Just set everything on autodetect. The installation should be easy as hell. I just plugged in and was ready to go, my XBox autodetected everything.

i am directly connecting my ethernet cable from my modem to the XBOX, is this going to work?? and how do i confirm my IP address?
