i think the items that you get from events or stuff like that are priced higher so nobody buys them
 
Exactly what Outinthedark and Lavkib said. It's a safety measure to stop people getting them without a code, they started doing it after people got Banjo-Kazooie and Golden Lancers who weren't supposed to.

Besides, 99999 MSP is equal to $1,249.49, £849.99, €1,162.99... you get the idea.
I may be of the opinion that avatar clothing is overpriced at the best of times but that's just taking the piss.

In other news, the design on that hoodie trips me the fuck out.

EDIT: Not to mention if you're a Microsoft employee you really shouldn't be trying to sell one of the perks of the job.
Doubt they'd be too happy to learn you made money out of something they gave you.

nah I don't want $1250 for it but $20 will shut me up actually you can have both codes for that amount but if your not from the US and it doesn't work dont come crying to me
 
Doubt anyone is going to give you $20 for a fucking virtual hoodie...put it up on ebay if you want that kind of $. Maybe some lunatics there will bid on it, doubtful but better than posting on a site named "Cheap Ass Gamer" and asking an outrageous price on something so trivial.

So it turns out those two codes I was sent marked "Zuma" were actually for Keflings.

Just mislaid one, so to speak, but yeah I now have Keflings to trade.
 
It turns out those Xbox VIP hoodies are a perk of that rewards program they started recently.
