Has anyone used the vision camera on Win 7 64 bit?

Nope, but it works fine for me on Windows XP. Why don't you just try it? Unless you're asking before buying one.

Here is how you use the Vision cam on Win 7 64 bit:

Step 1: Plug it in.

Congratulations! You have completed all the steps needed in order to have Windows automatically detect the Vision cam and self install the drivers! Enjoy chatroulette!

Interestingly enough my Live Vision Cam. never worked for me. Of course since it's just supposed to work that makes finding help for when it doesn't difficult. I didn't need it to work though so I just threw it in a drawer.

I can help you guys. When you plug the camera in on windows vista or xp (probably windows 7 as well) it will ask you if you want to install some sort of security package... Click IGNORE or just click the X button in the top right of that box.

Now you can use the camera for flash apps like cameroid.com, stickam.com, chatroullete, aim webcam chat probably works too. Unfortunately you cannot use Windows Movie Maker.

There is an alternative application called "Debut" - there might be a free trial version available.

I'm sure it would work. it worked fine in XP and I even got it running in Linux after a little work.

Apparently this thing works in OS X too with the built-in drivers, although I don't have one to try it. I might pick one up. I've been using a PS2 Eye Toy with the "macam" driver and that thing (the PS2 Eye Toy) pretty much sucks. It does work, but focusing it is a nuisance. How do you focus the Xbox Live Vision camera? Is it autofocus?

It requires a manual focus, and is a pretty low resolution.

Works ok with MSN IM. Gets really hot after a few mins though.

Im disappointed they never released the picture shirt for avatars they said they would. Any picture you take being on a shirt.

Vision cam is so worthless unless you want to see some chink or dude masturbating on Uno. Which is why i never plugged mine back in!
