xbox moding

I don't think I'll ever mod my Xbox until the warranty I purchased is over (in 2005)..... Besides I don't know anyone with a DVD-RW burner so there would be no way for me to mod the dashboard program.

It's better for other stuff than playing burned games on it. You can burn games to your HDD with it, but if you were planning to do that, you'd want a bigger HDD. I got a 120 gig on mine, and that is the highest you can go without having to get a side cooling fan. Plus, you can play homebrew programs on it then, emus and other wierd stuff. Or you could just turn it into a computer by getting Linux for the Xbox. Your choice, but I'm new to this, so I know there is alot more you can do.

yea its all on the site ilinked check it out and whachh the videos and see all the cool stuff, and xbox master how hard was it to mod up, also i wanna ask how you still play on live cause i remember you asking about unreal2.

You can put any size HDD into xbox, not 120 gb limit without side fan (never heard of that before). It is fairly easy to install..most points are fairly large. The current generation have turn on/off switches, so if u wanna go on live u turn the chip off and use the original game.

yea i said all this is on the site but there is a limit to 140 gigs i think

I've thought about doing this, but i think i'm going to wait till the xbox price goes down just in case i really mess mine up. although these sodderless chips look promising, i'm still worried that something might go awry.

It's not that hard, it you need resources, TechTV is DEFINITELY not the place to go. Go to xbox-scene.com, there you'll find EVERYTHING you need. And I still play Live because I've got a switch on mine. But, if you are planning to install a bigger or just different HDD, then you have to lock the HDD to go on Live. If you don't understand, just post saying so and any other questions.

If you're asking me if I use xbox-scene.com, then yes, that's what I use. But, if you wanna see alot of cool homebrew programs you could use on your Xbox, then go to sourceforge.net, and in the search bar, put "xbox", or "xbox homebrew".
