Xbox Music Mixer $20 shipped free at Circuit City

For the love of GOD thank you for this offer!!!

And no, I won't use it for Karoke Music. Microsoft is so stupid that they have the software that you need in that disc to transfer music files from your computer to your Xbox. The thing is that they do not sell the disc seperate... anywhere. I have looked to see if Microsoft has a parts store ala Nintendo where you could just buy the disc. Nada. Closes I found it low to was $30 at Gamestop.

Now I can have all my tunes and with ID tags on my Xbox!

So basically.. with this I can transfer music to my Xbox WITHOUT burning a regular CD?

So I can download music and whatever..and transfer it over to my Xbox? Because my Xbox doesn't support CD-RWs. Well, at least I've tried and failed.

I don't think I'd use it for Kareokee, but just for the transfering..and other fun stuff.. lol.

Thats exactly why I have been waiting for the price to drop, easy way to transfer mp3 files to Xbox :)

Basically you get the music mixer disc. You go to microsoft's website and they give you the software. I think you need to change the files to WAA files though or it does that automatically. You also need a crossover cable.

This way you don't need to input all the sort of titles and artist stuff.

You need to use the mic. What it does is basically makes it a karaoke machine with those tools. It is kinda understated because it doesn't do anything sort of different then a normal karaoke machine. Not like Karoke Revolution. It isn't a game. You also need to pay extra for the songs on XBL.

1. XBox
2. Computer with music files on it.
3. XB Music Mixer Disc
4. Crossover Cable (the XB Link cable maybe a crossover cabel)
5. The software from xbox.com for your computer

I believe that is everything. Should make playing games with custom soundtracks more enjoyable. One thing I am wondering is how much music I can get on there. I put all my CDs on my computer. I won't put every song on my Xbox but I want to put alot.

I wish I had waited for a price drop, because IMO the only reason to own this is the song transfer software. If you've played Karaoke Revolution, then you will be severely disappointed in the karaoke mode of this. I know it's not a game, but if it had even shown something on-screen like KR does, such as an avatar actually singing, it would have been better. It's extremely plain tho.

Oh, one more small thing it has going for it is that it does have some cool effect that you can play while you're just listening to music. Worth $20, but not the $40 I paid. :(

Well I just picked it up now my Xbox is full of porn (pics) and bootleg MP3....thanks Microsoft :D.

Seriously though this thing is pretty cool. If you have a firewall up you need to open two ports and a program you can get from xbox.com. You can transfer MP3s, WMA and JPGs.
Can U make beats useing this or does it just remove lyrics from songs and stuff like that?
It can't make beats.

You come through once again CheapyD! Finally my wife can transfer a number of her accursed country music songs to my pristine Xbox... :?

Marriage is about sacrifice they say. :D

A belated thanks as well. Picked this up while in ANOTHER game store with PC's yesterday! Such a good deal I didn't want to be left out! ;)

Just ordered it now. I was reluctant at first, but I decided.. Hey, why not. I still play Raw 2 and I'd like to give everyone their proper theme still. So yeah.. yay for $20! ^_^

You can use your live headset if you get an adapter. You dont need a crossover cable if you have your xbox plugged into a switch. You also need windows xp. The songs it comes with are pretty crappy. It does a pretty good job of muting the lyrics, but you can still hear them. Like every one says, this is great for transfering mp3z to you xbox.

I got mine today and I think I am returning it :(

There is a sticker on the package that says this "This microphone/cord product, supplied to Microsoft by Mad Catz, contains chemicals known to the State of California to cause cancer, and birth defects or other reproductive harm. Wash hands after handling."

Even though there probably is no harm in using it, I feel uncomfortable using it.

You have the same chances of any harm from that as a cell phone.
