Xbox price drop in November?

I sold my Xbox this summer during the EB $100 trade-in. Now I find out that Fable TLC comes out on Xbox in November. So now I'm stuck trying to decide whether to wait till next year to buy a 360 and hope it's 100% backwards compatible or buy a refrub xbox in november hoping that they drop in price after the 360 launch.


So my question is, how much do you think the Xbox will be after November?
 
its theoretically possible, but its already been reported that after the end of Q1 or Q2, I forget which one, Nvidia isnt shipping anymore chips for them, so it depends on how many they have in reserve. But it would certainly be wiser to cut their losses and start preparing for their next round of massive losses :)
 
i am guessing that eb&gs might drop the price on a used xbox when the xbox 360 comes out.

there was also talk about the xbox 1 getting cloned, tho there was nothing official about that.

Not to mention the 360 won't be as hacker-friendly as the original XBox.
 
If and when ALL Xbox 1's have been shipped out and are now sitting in retail stores, doesnt that mean that the stores have already paid for them already, and MS can lower the retail price without necessarily losing more money? because a price cut doesnt directly effect them because they really arent selling them anymore.

Maybe, but you don't mess with your "business partner" is you know what I mean.
 
I think Fable is going to be one of those backwards compatible games. I can't imagine MS making any game they published incompatible with the 360.
 
Well I have 2 XB's, come 360 one of them will have to go, but I just hope 360 will be compatible with a large chunk if not all of my games...
 
In case anyone's curious, I talked to one of the guys at EB the other day and he said he had heard that once the 360 launches new xboxes would be $99 and refurbished would be $79.

Thanks for the heads up but Im not sure how much EB employees should be trusted considering past exploits.

There has to be a rule against commercial deception of that caliber
