[CUSTOMSPOILER="General Info"]
Q. What is MyPunchcard?
A. MyPunchcard is a part of the Xbox LIVE Rewards program open to all members. Through MyPunchcard, Xbox LIVE Rewards members can get rewarded for performing a specific set of actions outlined in the Punchcard for each offer. Once all punches are earned on a specific Punchcard, get rewarded!

Q. Who is eligible for MyPunchcard?
A. All Xbox LIVE Rewards members are eligible to participate in MyPunchcard. To start earning punches for completing specific actions, join Xbox LIVE Rewards now for free if you haven’t already: http://rewards.xbox.com.

Q. How does MyPunchcard work?
A. Each Punchcard has a set amount of punches required in order to complete it. Once a specific action is completed and a punch is earned, it can take up to 96 hours for it to appear on the MyPunchcard page. Xbox LIVE Rewards members are only eligible to receive a Reward once all punches have been earned and the entire Punchcard is complete. There is a limit of one Reward per one completed Punchcard, unless otherwise noted.

Q. Where can I find the available Punchcards?
A. To check out the available Punchcards, log into the Xbox LIVE Rewards site and visit the MyPunchcard page. The amount of available Punchcards each month will vary.

Q. Do Punchcards expire?
A. Yes. Once a Punchcard expires, no further punches will be provided for actions completed after that date. Expiration dates for each Punchcard vary and are listed on the MyPunchcard page found here.

Q. I completed a Punchcard! How do I claim my Reward?
A. If the Reward is Microsoft Points, they will appear under Pending on your MyRewards page by the 15th of the following month. If the Reward is anything other than Microsoft Points, an email will be sent to your contact email listed here with instructions to redeem your Reward. The Rewards for completion of a Punchcard will vary with each Punchcard offer. Rewards will not be provided during the Punchcard offer period.

April's PlaytoEarn Punchcard
Check your status - May take 3-5 days to update
XBLA DLC purchases do not count toward the April Punchcard - source

Cornelius's list of sources for last-minute XBLA purchase ideas:
  • The Wikipedia page for XBLA releases, sorted by MSP.
  • Xbox.com's sorted list of best-selling XBLA titles.
  • Major Nelson's most-recent list of top 20 XBLA games purchased.
  • The Twisted Pixel bundle ... seriously, it's 3600 MSP worth of games for 800 MSP!
  • The DOTW for April 30th, listed on our OP, as well as Major Nelson's blog, which will go live around 4/30 @ 2am PDT, and be valid for 14-15 hours up through the promo's deadline between 4pm-5pm'ish PDT (depending how they've configured the reporting servers to account for GMT).
Note I was going to also suggest the "Angry Birds Trilogy" sale starting 4/30, but since it's a GoD title, it doesn't count.
  • Games your friends have picked up. Use the "Compare Games" feature on their profile, which will list their games in order of most-recently played by default.
  • Atari-published games, which you should assume will get de-published as soon as its game licenses/IP are sold off in bankruptcy court.
  • Games NOT found on compilation discs, because you can often find them "cheap" on eBay or used-game retailers. See this XBLA thread post (under "XBLA Discs") for more info & lists.
  • And finally, TylerH1701's list of XBLA games yet to go on sale
Hope this helps anyone's last-minute purchase dilemma. ;)

FAQ:
_________________________________________________

Q: So what is this and how much does it cost?
A: Xbox Rewards is a free loyalty program run by ePrize for the Microsoft Corporation. They offer free and Gold Xbox Live members "rewards" for completing survey, making qualified purchases, or other actions during a specified period.

Q: Where do I start?
A: You should start by reviewing the official FAQ. Once you are done there, and you have decided to join, you are ready to start earning rewards.

Q: I never got my reward for my first purchase after joining the rewards program?
A: According to the official FAQ. You will only earn that reward for your first purchase from the marketplace ever. If you made a purchase before joining the program, you are out of luck.

Q: I never got my reward for activating Netflix after joining the rewards program?
A: According to the official FAQ and some discussion with @XboxSupport You will only earn that reward for the first time you ever activate Netflix on your specific gamertag. If you did that before joining the program, you are out of luck. If you are still good, you have to have had Netflix activated for 1 month and have watched 2+ hours of streaming content during that time period.

Q: When will this end?
A: According to the official T&C, the program is scheduled to end at 3:59 p.m. GMT on June 30, 2012. It is possible that the program will be renewed or go after that, but there hasn't been more info on that yet.

Q: Will my Xbox LIVE Rewards Points expire?
A: Rewards Points do expire, so be sure to use them by June 30, 2012.

Q: How do I use my expiring Microsoft Points first?
A: Promotional points with expiration dates are automatically redeemed first before purchased points. [source]

Hate to ask so late, but when I buy 240 worth of music DLC I get 80 back. Is that a one time deal or is it everytime I spend 240 I get 80? I'm asking because I want to download about 1900 worth of DC2 songs and would like to know if its best to do it before May ends?

@XboxLIVErewards I asked yesterday, is that for every 240 you spend so for example 480 gets me 160 back or no?

No, just a one-time deal :)

Damn someone won a jeep according to the front page of xbox rewards. Good luck to him when the government charges him taxes on the jeep he won.

Its too bad Capcom hates avatar shit I would buy something if they released anything oh well

Is there something special I need to do in order to have Reward purchases qualify?

I bought a 240dlc Dance Central 2 song last month, through the marketplace site. Didn't get the points for either fulfilling the song DLC challenge or the bonus points for first purchase on the marketplace. Also haven't gotten the points for netflix or going gold. I do get the points from surveys though. :whistle2:/

So I told myself I wasn't going to buy any avatar stuff to get the rebate for the 80 msp back, but then my brother showed me they but up a bunch of new Batman outfits on the marketplace last night....I'm going to be The Animated Series Batman for a while....

A small selection of surprisingly decent avatar stuff went on sale for the week. Might grab an outfit or two to meet the requirements.
A small selection of surprisingly decent avatar stuff went on sale for the week. Might grab an outfit or two to meet the requirements.
IIRC, the avatar gear you buy has to be a single piece over the required MSP amount in order to qualify for the promo...

FAKE EDIT: Yep:

the prizes kind of suck because they put such a low limit on these digital prizes.

6. Prizes:
TWENTY-FIVE (25) FIRST PRIZES: One (1) month Xbox LIVE Gold membership. Approximate Retail Value ("ARV"): $9.99 USD. (Twelve (12) for Weekly Entry Period 1, thirteen (13) for Weekly Entry Period 2).
TWENTY-FIVE (25) SECOND PRIZES: adidas Tracksuit Avatar Outfit. ARV: $6 USD. (Thirteen (13) for Weekly Entry Period 1 and twelve (12) for Weekly Entry Period 2).
TWENTY-FIVE (25) THIRD PRIZES: Black Ninja Avatar Costume. ARV: $8 USD. (Twelve (12) for Weekly Entry Period 1 and thirteen (13) for Weekly Entry Period 2).
TWENTY-FIVE (25) FOURTH PRIZES: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Avatar t-Shirt. ARV: $8 USD. (Thirteen (13) for Weekly Entry Period 1 and twelve (12) for Weekly Entry Period 2).
FIFTY (50) FIFTH PRIZES: 80 Microsoft Points. ARV: $1 USD. (Twenty-five (25) for each Weekly Entry Period).
FIFTY (50) SIXTH PRIZES: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Avatar hat. ARV: $1 USD. (Twenty-five (25) for each Weekly Entry Period).
Damn someone won a jeep according to the front page of xbox rewards. Good luck to him when the government charges him taxes on the jeep he won.
You sell the jeep, pay the taxes and keep the rest of the cash. This is what you do unless you were really in the market for a jeep. You might even be able to do this without ever actually driving it off the lot.

You only pay taxes on fair market value when you actually take possession of the car. So you won't get screwed when receiving a $20,000 car that is worth $16,000 by the time you actually get it.

And the actual taxes you pay depend on your tax bracket.

Copy and paste it better. It may sound weird, but there is a certain way you have to paste the code in order for it to work correctly.

That was the problem I had before and got around to fix it.

Hope that helps.

if the movies were like 800 I'd consider it, just 'cause I'll probably spend $10 to go see the new one, so it'd be like getting one free. But paying around $7 extra is a complete ripoff

I planed on just buying a $10 SD copy with my massive amount of unused MSP, but then I luckily clicked on the terms that say:

3. How to Receive Offer: During the Offer Period, visit http://www.zune.net and purchase one (1) of the three (3) eligible movies in HD video format only (each an "Eligible Movie") from Zune Video.
I'm still considering it since I've been waiting months for a decent DotW and I don't know if Bing points actually expire.

has anyone experienced this?

I entered a rewards contest to try to win the star wars console by submitting a video. My video entry was accepted and they said I'd get a VIP reward. Then when the final results came out, I didn't see any type of VIP reward. Other people with accepted entries got 400 MS points.

then I see this in my bonus rewards:

06/13/2012 VIP Exclusives loxl 400 Microsoft Points 0

What does this mean? I didn't get the 400 MS points like a lot of other people with video entries got.

July survey and offer is up:
Get 200 Microsoft Points back when you spend 800 Microsoft Points or more on any eligible Superhero Movies, Game Add-ons, or Avatar Items in July!*

Not too bad, hopefully there's a sale on add-ons during the month.

*edit
Though it looks like the survey is broken and the link for the offer really doesn't help on what MS considers eligible (though I don't think it'd be that difficult to determine what is).

Thanks ... just refreshed the OP with this & the Spider-Man offer.

Damn tho if u wanted the Spider Man offer you almost should have gotten the blu rays for 9.99 at BB.

The 200 pts back wouldnt be bad since i wanted Harley Quinns Revenge.

DAMMIT, I hit F5 just as I was going to post ... will have this up later when I can justify the 30min again to add links! :whistle2:(

Recommended superhero game DLC or avatar clothing (screw the props) that will "probably" qualify until Microsoft generates the official list ...
Captain America:
  • Captain America Collection for Marvel Super Hero Squad
  • ... and the Captain America table for Pinball FX2 doesn't seem to qualify.

Spider-Man:
  • New Goblin DLC for Spider-Man 3
  • Cosmic DLC for Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions
  • Evil Twin pack for Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 ... though you should consider the "Value Pack"

Batman:
  • Anything from Batman: Arkham City ... recommend the Gotham Pack & Harley's Revenge
  • Anything from Batman: Arkham Asylum ... recommend the 3 challenge map packs ONLY IF you don't have the GOTY edition
  • Anything that's a Batman avatar clothing item ... again, screw the props.

Superman:
  • not a single DLC item qualifies. :whistle2:(

Iron-Man:
(see multi-character list below)

Multi-character:
  • Marvel: Avengers Chronicles table for Pinball FX2 (Iron Man, Captain America)
  • Marvel Pinball table for Pinball FX 2 (Iron Man, Spider-Man)
  • Value Pack DLC for Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 (Spider-Man's Evil Twin, etc)
  • Costume Pack DLC for Marvel vs. Capcom 3 ... also works in UMvC3! (Iron Man, Captain America)

Remember, don't assume that even though a game includes one of those 5 characters that it will qualify ... remember we're dealing with an outsourced Marketing vendor that generates these lists, not actual game-players. They're as interested in your game-playing as they are about Kraft "low-cal" margarine, IHOP coupons, Oreck vaccums, AOL (smirk!), and this fall's GAP clothing styles. Don't count on them to understand Marvel Universe distinctions like the vast differences between Sam Raimi's & Marc Webb's interpretations of Spider-Man.

I finally got 100 points racked up for a deposit, bringing my grand total for 2.5 years of being a rewards member, 6 years of being a Live Gold subscriber, and spending close to $5,000 on all things Xbox over that time, to 1440 points. What a crapshoot.

I could get a better deal from the worst credit card rewards program out there. Even at a meager 5% cash back, I'd of banked a cool $250 by now.

Worst rewards program ever!

You literally don't have to go out of your way to earn points. I'd hardly call that the worst reward program ever.

That wasn't my point. My point was that Microsoft's view of a "reward" is much less than what other businesses' view of a reward is. Steam has great sales all the time. PSN gives out free retail games. Even Nintendo gives out freebies to loyal members.

The last "free" game Microsoft gave out was Yaris, and that was a paid promotion from Toyota, and was voted one of the worst arcade games ever.

The freebie items they give out are even worse: skin packs for avatars that are often ugly or stupid, promotional themes or gamer pics to further plaster our paid for dashboards with even more advertising, and a DLC pack once in a while, which even those are promotional: case in point: the upcoming "Summer of Arcade" 5 skin pack for Minecraft on the 18th.

Microsoft rarely has a sale worth the crap on games, (just look at the DOTW thread), and they charge for content that other places give out for free.

Microsoft also gives better stuff, (free arcade games and MS points), to silver and new members, practically slapping the loyal Gold members in the face.

So, you tell me, what's so rewarding about Microsoft?
If you watch and share some Gears video on Facebook, you can get goggles for your avatar! Who's rewarding who now?
/sarcasm
You need some sort of goggles, (beer ones), to see that being a deal.
So, you tell me, what's so rewarding about Microsoft?
The issue is you've been gold for 6 years and have given $5k+ to MS. They clearly don't need to deliver more than they have to you because you've given MS ample evidence that you're willing to pay for their products with very little in the way of extras or bonuses.

You have to turn the question around, if you're unsatisfied with XBL and the various rewards, why do you keep giving them money? I totally agree that PSN and Steam deliver much better value. Yet if MS gets away with giving less for more, it makes some amount of business sense to stay with their current strategies.

I just tried this, it's dead apparently. :(

MS has had more recent free games come out than that: Dash of Destruction, Doritos Crash Course, and Harms Way.

Right, I forgot about that one since I don't own a Kinect.

Yes, I forgot about that. Still, is it really something of value that anyone wants? It's like a bank giving out a toaster for being a loyal customer: it's something, but is it really useful or something you'd want?

And all the apologists, who try to twist it around and ask, "why do you keep giving them money?":

Because they have the only online system that isn't a mess, (PSN), or a joke, (Wii). I can log on with one unified account, and just play my games. That part is what keeps me on their console.

Also, everyone else I know and play games with exclusively play on the Xbox 360. I'm not being the only one left out.

My gripe is about their crappy idea of what a reward or what a sale is. My complaints are justified. And believe me, if Steam ever came out with a console, especially if I got to keep my existing library of games, I'd switch in a heartbeat.

I just wish Microsoft would step it up.

And for those very reasons Microsoft does not need to step it up. Right now they are the dominant force in online gaming and don't need to offer rewards to promote loyalty. Should they lose market share you might see them offer more.
