[CUSTOMSPOILER="General Info"]
Q. What is MyPunchcard?
A. MyPunchcard is a part of the Xbox LIVE Rewards program open to all members. Through MyPunchcard, Xbox LIVE Rewards members can get rewarded for performing a specific set of actions outlined in the Punchcard for each offer. Once all punches are earned on a specific Punchcard, get rewarded!

Q. Who is eligible for MyPunchcard?
A. All Xbox LIVE Rewards members are eligible to participate in MyPunchcard. To start earning punches for completing specific actions, join Xbox LIVE Rewards now for free if you haven’t already: http://rewards.xbox.com.

Q. How does MyPunchcard work?
A. Each Punchcard has a set amount of punches required in order to complete it. Once a specific action is completed and a punch is earned, it can take up to 96 hours for it to appear on the MyPunchcard page. Xbox LIVE Rewards members are only eligible to receive a Reward once all punches have been earned and the entire Punchcard is complete. There is a limit of one Reward per one completed Punchcard, unless otherwise noted.

Q. Where can I find the available Punchcards?
A. To check out the available Punchcards, log into the Xbox LIVE Rewards site and visit the MyPunchcard page. The amount of available Punchcards each month will vary.

Q. Do Punchcards expire?
A. Yes. Once a Punchcard expires, no further punches will be provided for actions completed after that date. Expiration dates for each Punchcard vary and are listed on the MyPunchcard page found here.

Q. I completed a Punchcard! How do I claim my Reward?
A. If the Reward is Microsoft Points, they will appear under Pending on your MyRewards page by the 15th of the following month. If the Reward is anything other than Microsoft Points, an email will be sent to your contact email listed here with instructions to redeem your Reward. The Rewards for completion of a Punchcard will vary with each Punchcard offer. Rewards will not be provided during the Punchcard offer period.

April's PlaytoEarn Punchcard
Check your status - May take 3-5 days to update
XBLA DLC purchases do not count toward the April Punchcard - source

Cornelius's list of sources for last-minute XBLA purchase ideas:
  • The Wikipedia page for XBLA releases, sorted by MSP.
  • Xbox.com's sorted list of best-selling XBLA titles.
  • Major Nelson's most-recent list of top 20 XBLA games purchased.
  • The Twisted Pixel bundle ... seriously, it's 3600 MSP worth of games for 800 MSP!
  • The DOTW for April 30th, listed on our OP, as well as Major Nelson's blog, which will go live around 4/30 @ 2am PDT, and be valid for 14-15 hours up through the promo's deadline between 4pm-5pm'ish PDT (depending how they've configured the reporting servers to account for GMT).
Note I was going to also suggest the "Angry Birds Trilogy" sale starting 4/30, but since it's a GoD title, it doesn't count.
  • Games your friends have picked up. Use the "Compare Games" feature on their profile, which will list their games in order of most-recently played by default.
  • Atari-published games, which you should assume will get de-published as soon as its game licenses/IP are sold off in bankruptcy court.
  • Games NOT found on compilation discs, because you can often find them "cheap" on eBay or used-game retailers. See this XBLA thread post (under "XBLA Discs") for more info & lists.
  • And finally, TylerH1701's list of XBLA games yet to go on sale
Hope this helps anyone's last-minute purchase dilemma. ;)

FAQ:
_________________________________________________

Q: So what is this and how much does it cost?
A: Xbox Rewards is a free loyalty program run by ePrize for the Microsoft Corporation. They offer free and Gold Xbox Live members "rewards" for completing survey, making qualified purchases, or other actions during a specified period.

Q: Where do I start?
A: You should start by reviewing the official FAQ. Once you are done there, and you have decided to join, you are ready to start earning rewards.

Q: I never got my reward for my first purchase after joining the rewards program?
A: According to the official FAQ. You will only earn that reward for your first purchase from the marketplace ever. If you made a purchase before joining the program, you are out of luck.

Q: I never got my reward for activating Netflix after joining the rewards program?
A: According to the official FAQ and some discussion with @XboxSupport You will only earn that reward for the first time you ever activate Netflix on your specific gamertag. If you did that before joining the program, you are out of luck. If you are still good, you have to have had Netflix activated for 1 month and have watched 2+ hours of streaming content during that time period.

Q: When will this end?
A: According to the official T&C, the program is scheduled to end at 3:59 p.m. GMT on June 30, 2012. It is possible that the program will be renewed or go after that, but there hasn't been more info on that yet.

Q: Will my Xbox LIVE Rewards Points expire?
A: Rewards Points do expire, so be sure to use them by June 30, 2012.

Q: How do I use my expiring Microsoft Points first?
A: Promotional points with expiration dates are automatically redeemed first before purchased points. [source]
Entertainment: Use any of these entertainment apps for 10 hours or more during the month of April: (cut due to space, but Netflix, MLB.TV, ESPN or Zune for me)
Just noting that MLB.TV isn't in the list on the Rewards site. That would've been the easied entertainment route to 10 hours for me, but I'll find other ways.

Gaming: I'll be buying Joe Danger & Daytona
Entertainment: Espn for 10 hours
Social: Youtube for an hour.

That's not too hard for 300 MSP.

Gaming: 2 hours (most likely with Kinect Star Wars)
Entertainment: ESPN on Xbox Live, even though all good sports will not be airing
Social: idle the Youtube app for a hour

Thanks, I didn't catch that being late at night... I watch enough of the other stuff anyway. I refuse to pay hellacious cable bills when you can watch just as much of the programming you want on Netflix, Zune or YouTube and you can choose when you want to watch it.

How lame, I renewed my Gold Family last month when it was supposed to be double rewards, and I only got credited 400pts instead of 800pts. Who can I contact to see if they can fix this?

yea I renewed for 12 month and didnt get anything either...?
Really? How hard is it to leave one of the video apps running for 10 hours, YouTube for 1 hour, and spend 800 MSPs or game for 2 or 10 hours?
cost more then 3 dollars to do that

Maybe. But complaining that it is "more work" isn't the same as "not worth it". Seriously, though, this is easy MSPs.

Anyone know if there's a counter somewhere of this? Or do I have to keep track myself?

And would just leaving the app open count? Or do I actually have to use it?

You have to keep track of it yourself.

Has anyone seen the points come across their rewards yet, or are we going to have to wait until the end of the month?

I'm pretty sure I've completed everything - I'll probably keep playing MP games just to be sure, but I know I've watched a dozen+ episodes of Mad Men and a movie or two; I downloaded Youtube and let the Jimmy Kimmel channel run for well over an hour while I watched something else on TV.

Rewards don't happen instantly. You will likely have to wait until mid-May at the earliest to get your points.

Points deposited directly into your Xbox LIVE Rewards account no later than May 15, 2012

Sorry, I didn't make myself clear, I am very aware of the point distribution timelines and all of that obvious shit.

I was inquiring as to whether anyone who has completed the 3-Play tasks has had the 300 points register in their points pending list - as opposed to having to wait until the end of the month for XBL rewards to add the credit for 300 points to your account. For instance, when you take a survey for XBL points, it shows in your points pending list almost immediately. My question is if you have completed the 3-Play Promotion, does it show on your points pending list?

Thanks.

Probably not immediately. The quiz is something small and computer generated (to an extent, you get my drift) while this program probably needs to be verified on certain levels. It likely applies all the same though, and you won't see anything until the end of the month/mid-May. lol

I have completed the tasks and nothing yet. Fwiw it is a legitimate question. For promos like these they sometimes credit the points once a task is completed. I have been wondering if they would credit upon completion for this promo as well. Guess we won't know until next month. Good strategy on their part. Been back to Facebook a few time to make sure it has run for at least an hour despite knowing it has.

They've said they'll tally our total usage at the end of the month. You won't see anything listed as pending until after then.

Does anyone know if, for the 10 hours of multiplayer gaming one, does it have to actually be something against/with other people, like Call of Duty, or can you play any game as long as you're online on Live?

Earned no points for March. They didn't even count the 20 point survey for some reason. Wondering if my Netflix watching and multiplayer gaming will actually get counted for April.

Stupid farce of a rewards program...

It's asking you for multiplayer gaming for a reason. Otherwise it would say "play single player for 10 hours"

How about Dark Souls? Do only the minutes when someone else is invading your game count? Or only when you're human? Or every minute you're playing and not in "offline mode"?

For the "2 hours on a Kinect game", do you have to be using the Kinect sensor? Can you be playing Child of Eden with the normal controller, for example?

So, it seems possible to fulfill the Triple Play promotion without a Gold account?
How about Dark Souls? Do only the minutes when someone else is invading your game count? Or only when you're human? Or every minute you're playing and not in "offline mode"?

For the "2 hours on a Kinect game", do you have to be using the Kinect sensor? Can you be playing Child of Eden with the normal controller, for example?
Yeah, I was actual going to ask that question myself, but Xbox's support on Twitter already had an answer for it. Said that for the 2hours of Kinect, it had to be on a game listed here
http://marketplace.xbox.com/en-US/Games?genre=3028&page=1

So sadly, any "better with kinect" games won't count if you're using the Kinect with'em. You're need to use a Kinect specific title. Shouldn't be that bad though. I don't have a Kinect, but I did get a few of those Fun Labs since they were free. Wonder if I could start one up and keep it on for two hours-ish to see if that would complete it.

Ah, cheers. I was sure the main Triple Play details page linked here (I'd "triple"-check now, but "Our servers are currently unavailable due to maintenance or high volume. Please try back later." - nice to see my Gold dollars at work), which of course has this as a sub-page.

They made an interesting choice to use such an unclear link instead of a specific one like the one you just provided, RabbitSuit. And by "interesting" I mean... ahem... how can I express both my disdain and distaste while remaining polite.... "stupid". (I hope that no children are reading this awfully strong reaction)

If anyone else is absolutely lost trying to register for the Xbox Live Rewards "Rush for Gold" Sweepstakes they're holding, the form is here: http://rewards.xbox.com/rush-for-gold/register/. I got the email today but ended up googling the page since it wasn't any of the links they gave.

According the fine print here you can buy OR redeem subscription time to grab extra entries. I guess all of those 12mo. cards I have lying around are going to end up being redeemed after all.

I'm guessing there isn't a way to keep track of how many hours you have spent, will I know if I will get the points after April or when I finish everything?

Thanks

Edit: Nevermind found the answer.

Anyone know how to fix a glitch where your stats don't update its been about a month and it still says check back in a week to see your stats.

Ok, I'm trying to nail down the 10 hours of media thing. I went with I heart radio but after an hour a box comes up and says "we noticed that you have been idle over an hour."

Is this still counting time bc the app is open or should I use something else for those hours if im just doing it while I sleep?

You should watch some TMZ, its actually pretty entertaining with their 45 minute episodes.

If it's any consolation, they only update them once a month, on what seems to be a specific (secret) schedule. So if you're waiting for your initial stats to pop-up, you may not have been a member for long enough while also hitting a full month's use before the next site refresh.

What I've done is this:

Be Entertained.
Crackle- pretty easy to get 10 hours here. The app will continue to play with the Television and controller off. I actually queued up the Starship Troopers animated TV show and let it run. I then filled out some time with random one off movies.

Be Social.
You Tube- I ran the Gaming Channel. The first time I did this I had buffering problems, and I'm not sure how that time is counted, so I did it again this weekend and easily got 1 hour in.

Game On.
Okay. This is where I'm a little concerned.
I got 5 hours in playing Team Fortress 2. Easy to jump in and out of in case you don't have a ton of time to devote to your gaming session. No problems.

The problem is my other 5 hours came from playing Halo 2 for Vista multiplayer. Only now am I wondering if multiplayer games on GFWL is counted the same as games right off the x360. Anyone have any ideas? I'm running out of time to get those 5 additional hours if this doesn't count.

Just got my answer on Twitter:

Xbox LIVE Rewards @XboxLIVErewards
22m
@Ikejames101 Apologies, GFWL do not count toward the multiplayer hours.

Well, SHIT.

I spent yesterday watching the first season of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine through Netflix so that should meet requirement #2. I played Kinect Sports for #1 and watched Youtube for #3 so I really only spent an hour on this promotion since I would have done Kinect and Netflix anyway.

10 Hours of Multiplayer- Done

10 Hours of Video- Done- Watched Dilbert the cartoon on Crackle, left on Xbox and turned off TV and went to the library, came back 8 hours later and that time counts.

1 Hour Youtube- Done- Listened to some full Pink Floyd Albums

Spent more than 800 MSP on games and played more than 10 hours of online so I have that down. Just did 6 hours of hbo along with my game of thrones episodes last week. I think I got an hour of YouTube but I'll mess around with it tomorrow. Hope I get that 300 MSP

It's probably a good idea to go one hour over the requirements. I'm not sure if it counts the time of the app loading screen, so better to be safe than sorry. The apps can take about 5+ minutes to load or buffer on my 360 sometimes, so 10 sessions might knock 50 minutes off my calculated total.

I'm going to be upset if I don't get my bonus points after doing an extra 3 hours of requirements.

I'm pretty sure I have the requirements.
I'm damn sure I have more than 10 hours online this month since I've been playing ME3/Gears 3/Reach multi all month long.
Spent all weekend trying to build up my 10 hours of video. Watched Thor, Captain America, Seth MacFarlane thing on EpixHD and watched a bunch of TV shows and anime on Hulu Plus and Crackle. I think I'm good but it'd be nice to see your actual number somewhere. This is ironic since I cancelled my Netflix account after finding myself watching more than I would play on my 360.
Got the youtube hour req done on Saturday, ran through the Youtube Trends, so many good videos (esp loved Free Riding in Rio, The Video Game Rock Medley), I was probably watching that for a couple of hours at least.

For some reason I thought it did, but I'm now under the impression MLB.TV doesn't count?

With that said, might have to start an app tonight for 8 hours before leaving for work. Good thing I watched the Rangers game last night on the xbox.

I could never figure out why anyone would want to watch Youtube until I fired it up for this promo. I didn't know they had "channels" etc and got sucked in to "How It Should Have Ended..." (I think that's what it was called). That was some pretty funny stuff and I kept thinking that I would just watch one more video, just one more and before I knew it two hours had passed.

It's $3. Don't fret over it.

I just behaved normally on Xbox Live and if I get the points I get them, if I don't I don't. Not a big deal.

Tonight? That might be too late, since it's the last day of the month and the Rewards program seems to run off GMT or UTC. If you don't have the requirements met by 7pm (if GMT) or 8pm (if UTC) Eastern time tonight, you may be out of luck. I've had purchases made on the last day of the month not count toward a month's rewards because, while it was before midnight in my time zone, the Rewards zone clock had already rolled into the new month.

MLB.tv wasn't listed in their eligible apps for the month. I thought about asking on their forums if it did count and wasn't listed, but figured it would just get buried in all the other posts there. I just watched movies on HBO Go to clear the 10 hour mark. Watched the Star Wars Uncut video on YouTube (2 hours), and both played over 10 hours multiplayer (Gears 3) and spent 1,000 MSP.
