Ive been looking for a cheaper alternative than the ridiculous retail price on the 120 Gig version. This is the best option that Ive come across so far but I don't know much about the seller. I was wondering if they are generally trustworthy before I go spending any money on their merchandise?
 
comes to $95 for me after shipping, now remember they take paypal it says, so if anything did go wrong couldnt you just file a dispute?
 
I picked up a 120 Gig from Gamestop during their B2G1 sale (which is going on right now) - if you've got an Edge card, you can actually make it work pretty decently for you. I think it would drop the price down to around $90. Then you're dealing with a place you can return it to if it doesn't work (at least for the first 30 days).
 
My local Sears will be clearancing them down to 69.97 starting Friday. If you can find one at a Sears, it should be a pricedrop throughout the chain.
 
I just bought a used 120gb hd from ebay for $69.99 with free shipping works great i just made sure they were actually shipping them from the US the ones beeing shipped from hong knog seems fishy to me

I got a black 120GB hd (pulled from an Elite?) about 2 months ago. I also made sure it shipped from inside the US. It has worked great so far. Now I just need to get rid of this 20GB. Does Gamestop take those in trade in?

Read the whole op. He edits it, with the last edit date being the 13th. Also, theres another updated page on 260. CAGs also post in the thread, so go all the way to the end. Sears is weird about their clearances. So it is more sporadic than say Target or Toys R Us.

The ebay user has numbers for a name. I wouldn't trust that one bit. You might get lucky and have it work but I guarantee it will not be a official one.

Apparently he says avoid China fakes and this clearly is thrown any shipped from companies in Asia
 
I have about 3 getting 1 more in the mail im willing to let go for cheap or even trades. They are all legit that i got from gamestop that will be in there gamestop plastic so they are not hong kong fakes.

The 120gb came in black and grey. When you buy them retail they are grey and elite ones are black.

Thanks for the info. I revised my post. I'm pretty sure that it's still a fake because I wouldn't trust wholesalers in Asia one bit

The deal won't be in the Sears thread before Friday, particularly 'cause it won't be relevant until Friday when the system actually drops it. Most Sears are on the same drop schedule, but some can be YMMV.

I work at Sears and have access to information that lets me know when some drops are happening, and I know that they'll be dropping to $69.97 at my location.

When items go clearance, they generally disappear from the website at that point, and they are already clearanced for $115 or so. Check the thread Friday - if I don't post it there, I'm sure someone else will.
