The guys over at Yugster have the Premium console as the Sneak Preview deal, not sure if it is the holiday bundle or not, but it seems as though it's refurbished.

You have to be a member to be able to see the sneak preview deal, which is the deal that they are going to run the next day also. So you have today and tomorrow most likely to pick this up if you wish.

This deal is now live. I was about to post it but searching turned this up.

Seems a decent deal at $260 delivered for a 360. Sure it's a gamble that the system will hold up, but for a 25% savings it's not a bad deal.

Microcenter also sells refurb 360's and the guy in the game dept. said that the failure rate/return rate on them is about 40-50%. Caveat emptor for sure.

Anybody know of a reliable source of a used, non-refurb XBox 360 that can be had for $250 or so? I'd bite at that price. I'm almost biting at this.

Maybe it's that rate at that particular location, but either way, you got a 3 year warranty with it. If you're in the Huntsville, AL locale, I also fix 360's.

no you get 3 years. I bought one (core) from gamestop.com used. Returned the unit to microsoft and they gave me a premium in return. They take them all at this point.

Buying a 360 refurb is like throwing $260 into a garbage can. Honestly, the thing will not last. You can take that to the bank.

You are better off buying a new one, at least that way you have a lower risk of the red ring problem. Even if you do get it, you are still covered for it.

I don't see why not. A refurb should have the new heatsinks installed. The 3-year warranty covers the 3 red lights, which is the only commonality. You still have a full year on everything else, warranty-wise, and they pay shipping both ways for you as well.
