How the hell did Midway get the rights to Killer Instinct?
I actually just guessed at the publisher for KI3 because I couldn't find who had rights currently.

Not sure. The arcade game was a co-op between midway/nintendo and rare was the dev. KI1 was also on a recent Midway GAH release IIRC. Probably either Rare or Midway owns the rights, if Rare it will be X360 exclusive obviously. Changed it to TBA cause I don't know unless someone here does for sure.
That list looks great actually. I wonder how many of those games will actually be released though :(
Yeh, often games get cancelled or indefinitely postponed (for instance, several titles on the list were supposed to be xbox1 or gamecube titles), but this is a great roster to start with.

Afterburner Next-Gen (SEGA)
House of the Dead 4 (SEGA)
Ninja Gaiden 2 (Tecmo)
Splinter Cell 4 (Ubisoft)
Too Human Part 1 (Microsoft) **
Too Human Part 2 (Microsoft) **
Too Human Part 3 (Microsoft) **
Killer Instinct III (Microsoft) **
Virtua Fighter 5 (SEGA)
Unreal Tournament 2007 (Midway)
Banjo Kazooie X360 (Microsoft) **
Crazy Taxi X360 (SEGA)
MotoGP 4 (THQ)
SEGA Rally X360 (SEGA)
Fable 2 (Microsoft) **

Some of these titles REALLY suprise me. I thought the VF5, Afterburner and what not were just demos? I didn't know they were announced for the 360 or not, and VF on the XBox would be a dream for alot of people, It's been one of those titles that has stuck to the PS2 and would stick with the Sony consoles.

I also though UT2007 was PC only, so much for that.

Fable 2? Never knew a sequel was in the works but wouldn't suprise me. First one sold well with the hype.

MotoGP4 is interesting considering the third one will be out by the fall.

I thought NG2 didn't have a official platform yet.

Crazy Taxi, KI and Banjo are all titles that really suprised me as well. Especially since Crazy Taxi (along with most Sega titles) didn't sell very well.

Splinter Cell 4 should be noted as more of a next year title rather then launch, and I personally can't wait for it.

Now I'm just waiting for the Rallisport Challenge 3 announcement...

Maybe I should clarify. Not all of these games have been officially announced by the publisher. They have just been observed by official sources as in development for the platform. VF showed up at E3, and later in OXM UK it was confirmed as in development for XBOX 360. Of course, that doesn't mean Sony can't still throw some cash over to make it exclusive.

I also wouldn't assume that SEGA's past business model will remain the same for next-gen. Since the merge almost all of their games have been multiplatform PS2/XBOX releases. The VF releases on PS2 were during the time SEGA "spread out" exclusives on various consoles, which didn't work too well for them.

I also though UT2007 was PC only, so much for that.

UT2007 has been officially announced for XBOX360 by the publisher.

Again, these games you listed in this quote block have been noted as in development for XBOX360 by official sources like OXM UK but have not been officially announced by the publishers (likely because they won't come out for a long time, and there is still chance for Sony/Nintendo to bargain for exclusivity on them). We just know that these are currently planned for XBOX360 and being worked on by their developers at this point in time for release on the platform. In other words, they aren't just rumors and they are planned, but there is still a chance not all of the games on the list will make it until concrete announcements are made by the actual publishers (which won't happen for at least 6-8 months on some of these titles).

Now I'm just waiting for the Rallisport Challenge 3 announcement...

With SEGA Rally coming out for X360, no RSC isn't too much of a loss :)
MMOFPS?

what's that?
Massively Multiplayer Online FPS

Take WOW for instance, you have an MMORPG with Horde and Alliance that can fight each other or monsters. Role Playing with tons of people.

Huxley will be a MMOFPS with two sides, except you play like an FPS instead of a third person over the shoulder game. Think playing your typical FPS multiplayer game, except in a persistant online world with hundreds of thousands of people in it. It will focus on action instead of Role Playing and be a first person shooter, hence MMOFPS.

Are there any current games similar to this?

Hmm it has some big potential...Id love a MMOFPS with a AvP or SC theme

Thanks for the info Ruined, although I'd still like RSC3 > All other Rallysports including McRae, just my opinion of course.

Does MS still own the rights to RSC? Or did it go to 2K Games?

Rallisport 1&2 along with Midtown Madness 3 (Rockstar made the first two) were designed by Digital Illusions (DICE). They also made Battlefield 1942 (all this according to Gamefaqs). While MS owns Bizare Creations (PGR 1,2 and 3) , the rights to make Midtown Madness games, and the people who made Forza, they don't own DICE... so Rallisport seems to be up in the air, and if EA got any closer to buying them out (I haven't heard anything on the DICE buyout by EA since January) RSC would probably be multiplatform, and eventually burried by EA if sales were low (RSC1 sales were decent, RSC2 sales were subpar and the game went to $30 within a month and fifteen days or so of It's release).

Edit: I believe in the 2k games buyout of some MS creations they just got Links, Amped, Top Spin and possibly the NHL Rivals team. I never remember reading anything about Rallisport, and they would seem to have to get a hold of DICE to get the team behind it.

I wish MS bought out DICE but It seems MS hasn't been in the buyout mood lately, because I think their last company buyout was RARE.

Crazy Taxi was one of a few Dreamcast games to clear a million units sold. The subpar PS2 version did a decent amount of business as well. The game was well liked but the sequels failed to do enough to extend the concept. As well, the CT II appeared as the Dreamcast was already in a death spiral and the Xbox CT III was poorly distributed and received little promotion. (Not to mention Las Vega is one of the last places I'd choose for a wild driving game.) A massive leap in processing power could allow for developers imagination to be realized in a proper sequel.
