Xbox360 vs. PS3

CAGiversary!
Hey guys,
I have an Xbox360 only, and don't really plan on buying the PS3. I was just wondering what the differences are in online play, gameplay, etc. and I would like to hear which you prefer from those of you with both.

Thanks guys.

Here's a good article on graphics comparison.

Who wins?:
The Xbox 360 had better graphics in almost all the games we examined. The 360's biggest victories were in Madden 07 and Fight Night Round 3, where the differences in texture detail and lighting stood out in our comparison shots. We couldn't capture this in the screenshots, but the Xbox 360 games generally offered better framerates too. We're going to give the PS3 the benefit of the doubt in this initial round since developers might need more time to figure out how to maximize performance from the Cell and the RSX. If you look at the Xbox 360's first Madden game, Madden 06, you'll notice that it doesn't offer very realistic stadium shadows, either. The trouble with buying a console at launch is that you often have to wait for the second or third generation of games for the system to fulfill its potential. The PS3 didn't beat the 360 in this first comparison, but the games do look fine for first-generation titles. The real graphics battle will likely come next year.

That graphics comparison looks WAY better for PS3 for me and I wonder why. I thought 360 would be better...but those images are weird. For some reason all the PS3 images are brighter so I can actually see something. In terms of brightness equivalency, they STILL look almost identical to me. Err what should I be looking at here...

Brighter = washed out

Darker = better contrast

Oh and images can't convey to you how most of the 360 games had better framerates.

Ya, like I've said I'm not one of these people who can spot differences in graphics in a second, so they really look similar to me. EXCEPT that first racing game. looked way better on the 360. What was weird is that Zelda with component cables is apparently better graphically but it was brighter in the comparison than the composite cables. But...it also did look a lot less washed out in its brighter form. As long as those graphics get a lot brighter for 360...cause I could barely see anything. My computer has very low brightness though even on max so maybe that has something to do with it.
