hey i recently saw this game at best buy for $20 i was wondering if it was any good...i was thinking about picking it up bought i was going to read a few reviews of it first...it sounds interesting to me with all teh objects that are available to pick up and use on people...and the story sound decent...what are your thoughts will is it a good purchase

its cool at first i guess...but it gets a lil repetitive to me...i think it kinda tries to be like golden eye for n64 with a twist...but definitely ended up far from its goal

It's not too bad. Presentation and style of the game is really great. The whole comic book thing is carried throughout nicely and implemented in game. You get cinematic shots in the box, the "Tap, Tap, Tap" of enemies walking towards you and other comic book stylings.

The AIs not great though, so don't expect too much from that end.

I was able to get it for $7.98 at Target on clearance for PC.

GoldenEye this is not.

I have XIII for ps2 and i think its great. Sure its no goldeneye but neither is any other fps. I'd say ytou should get it.

For 20 bucks there's no way this game will do you wrong. There are some great little gameplay elements, and the graphics are excellent. Not to mention, hilarity can be found in most levels. (Personal favorite: Guard singing opera under the spotlight at that army base only to be shot in the eye with a cross-bow. Priceless).
technically its $15 with the GG
is the XB version still $30 at BB, or has it dropped too? also, is the XB Live content in this game any good?
I just picked this up for $15 after using my GGC at CC. You heard me.
they took your coupon at CC? i've heard this mentioned, but i didn't know it would really work!

I scored my XB copy at bb with the GGC this week; haven't gotten to play it yet though...

Its cool at first, but it never gets to the point where it hooks you. Live play is pretty bare bones.

i loved this game. it got me hooked. beat it twice. was well worth 20 bucks. multiplayer is nice. cant wait for pt 2.

top FPS for cube
1. metroid prime
2. timesplitters 2
3. XIII
4. serious sam

The game is ok, It has major flaws though. XBL is terrible in this game. All it does is lag. The game is a standard FPS imo

"It tries to be like Goldeneye."
"It's Goldeneye, but..."
"Kind of like Goldeneye."
"Goldeneye."
"Goldeneye."
"MOTHERfuckING GOLDENEYE."

I'm so SICK of hearing the first person shooter genre being constantly referred to GOD DAMN GOLDENEYE! It wasn't the first, it wasn't the most innovative. Yeah, it was good. But for the love of god, it wasn't the only FPS ever fucking made.

red you are right but the problem with XIII is that the graphics were amazing and people thought they should make the gameplay just as good, But when they did not the game fell short of how good it could have been.

I just played 4-player splitscreen yesterday, and I was somewhat underwhelmed. We tried playing sabotage mode and it was just really confusing. The deathmatch was alright, but the weapons seemed kind of boring.

The single-player is pretty good, worth the $13 I paid for it at GC.

My cousin has this for Xbox and its pretty good. He just got it and we only tried the multi and that was a blast. Haven't tried single yet, but multi was worth the money.
Akkis, maybe your connection just sucks.
yup. My last apt it ruled, but now that I moved, its lags every now and then.

So anyway, I was playing some Goldeneye yesterday..................

I got the PC version at target for $7.88 and it was money well spent. I love the game. The online multiplayer is also very fun.

all about the presentation...

one for all the comic book geeks out there...

gameplay isn't the best... but the game oozes style points

Goldeneye wasn't the first FPS, but did you see the trash that came before it compared to it? It is the reason why FPS are on consoles, all FPS are based on it.

So...
GOLDENEYE!!!!!!

The single player gets old and repititive, but playing on Live is a lot of fun. As for always lagging, I've never had any lag, maybe there's just too many players playing the game, try a game with less than 8 players. That's what I usually do.
