I love this thing. Much less hand cramping for long sessions. There is one for 360 and one for PS3.

I drilled a hole in mine for the talkback cable, although that may not be necessary. Beware if you use a bluetooth dongle, it may not fit in the thing.

It's made of a firm foam, harder than nerf.

Hmm, I do have hand cramps and pains from time to time. This does look interesting. Anyone have any first hand experience with this?

That thing looks hilarious. I think I'd spend more time getting made fun of by my friends than getting any gaming done!

Thanks. Link to Ps3 version. Their website calls it a spring cleaning sale. Crazy as it seems, sometimes I wish there was something like this for the dsi xl when lying down.

Finally I can feel safe knowing my controller can also be an emergency floatation device in the event that my basement floods after playing 14 hours straight and passing out on the floor.

It is a weird recommendation...and I don't mean it's a good recommendation, but that guy Stallion83 who has the world's highest gamer score. He likes this...thing.

Linking to this video feels like a low point in video game culture IMO. Here.

On the flip side, I have been having some stress pains in my hands...

This thing doesn't look like it provides much grip for the hands. You have to hold it against your belly in order to use it?

I haven't used one heard good things about it.

It should also be noted that he does get sponsored by the people who make this....

Seems interesting, I usually don't game for more than 2 hours at a time anyways and have never had controller holding problems but I would love to try it out in a store or something. Definitely not wanting to plop down $10 on an accessory I may not ever want to use.

Wow, that looks lazy. Look at the fat dude in the second pic with the red shirt. Usually, when part of you starts cramping, it's your body telling you to get up and do something else....like exercise before you get blood clots and die an early death. I love games and all, but I love my six-pack better. Thanks for the laugh, though. (sorry if I offended anyone with this...I'm usually not a dick, but today I'm feeling like one, so I might as well go full hog)

Something tells me it is not just today...not trying to be a dick though...we cool?

You and me both, dude. I'd rather get wasted on beer as well.

No offense to those who like it, but I don't get this. Do people really think pressing down on top of their controller to balance some plastic(?) third party peripheral into their chest/stomach is more comfortable than just gripping the controller like it's designed to be?

I have one of these, and as crazy as it seems....it works.

First off, my hands started to cramp. So i figured I'd give this thing a shot. First time I tried it, it was a little weird. Your fingers are slightly farther from the buttons. Though it really does help with hand cramps. Instead of rolling your fingers around the controller, they are in a slightly bent position. Trust me, this helps a lot

It may just be me, but I feel the controller weighs less in my hands with this on. It almost feels like you are holding nothing. The 'air vent' crap doesn't seem to work for me though and I tend to have sweatier hands while gaming. I'll take that as a trade off from hand cramps.

Since it has that elongated design, it is really nice to rest on your chest or lap when gaming. Again, it helps alleviate some of the weight from the controller for long sessions. It also works fine for DS3 users who have real triggers, mine work fine without any blockage.

I was skeptical about this thing too, I gave it a try and it worked for me. Might not work for everyone, but it worked for me. Using a controller without it now seems so weird to me now. I'll buy more for my other controllers.

We're cool. I'm too old to care what people think of me anymore. I'll admit I'm a lot of things these days (none of them too good). :) It's mostly just me being a fitness snob and wishing more people would take care of themselves for their own sake. Most days I'm easy going enough. But when I see shit like this on the market, it gets me going in all sorts of wrong ways.

Planted reviews or not, I'm a big fan of this device, which is why I posted this.

I'm old and my job is 8 hours of mousing so I don't need more hand stress from gaming for 2 or 3 hours if I'm lucky to have the time. If you are young and resilient and never have any pain or discomfort, why bother? Now fetch me my walker.

Your fingers don't need to be in the shape of a claw as much to hold the device with a controller in it. It may not work for everyone, but if your hands are uncomfortable after and during playing like me, for $10 it's worth a shot.

It's definitely worthy of mockery, it looks super stupid, agreed. But it works for me. You can hold it up or against your body, it actually is kind of nice as a rest against whatever part you have your hands in front of, be it your chest or your cat or your strategy guide.

And if you don't think you look stupid hunched over drooling, staring at your TV with giant headphones and a boom mic and your hands at your crotch clasping a plastic boomerang, you might rethink your image.

I find that the 360 keypad add-on helps with cramping. The only game that my hands get really cramped on are those damn Batman games with the challenge arenas.

I'd picked up one of these for PS3 at Microcenter a while back -- the controller always seemed a bit on the small side for my comfort and this seems to do the trick.

I'd still prefer the natural feel of the 360 controller, but at least for PS3 I'd definitely recommend trying it.

The only downside is that the foam that wraps around near the shoulder buttons does get in the way a little -- not sure how else they could have changed the design and still had it held in place, though.

Absolutely in the same boat here. This thing may be designed specifically to reduce cramping et al, but I've been using a chatpad on my 360 controllers for years for that purpose AND it serves a function as well... a fifth of the time.
