Yakuza 3/Ryu ga gotoku 3 Demo on Slim?

I picked up a new Slim, and downloaded/installed the Ryu Ga Gotoku/Yakuza 3 demo from the Japanese PSN store. It loads, and plays a cut scene after which it goes to a Now Loading screen where it seems to get stuck. I've waited 10 minutes. I deleted, reinstalled, tried using a different user account, but it always seems to get to Now Loading forever. Has anyone been able to play this on the Slim?

Anyone want to give the Yakuza 3 demo a try on their slim?

Some people on neogaf are having that problem. What Firmware version you using?

I thought the slim only shipped with Version 3.0 firmware?

Nope. 2.76
Could never get it to work, but I bought the game and it works fine so far.

For the record, the Japanese Uncharted demo locked my PS3 slim every time I tried to launch it.

The only reason I asked is because 2.80 improved some playability on some titles, and was wondering if it had an effect on the Yakuza 3 demo. O well, you bought the game. Sega needs to wake up and bring this game over.
