I'm so glad the 360 carries your subscription over...cause I just found my second cheap ass year. the first year I got at Target on clearance for $12 a couple months ago.

Then today I stopped at the pawn shop to check out the wares and saw a Live starter kit with the headset and Tetris Worlds. It said $20, but the package was opened and it looked like the sub had already been used, so I told the guy I'd give him $10 which I thought that was a decent price for new headset(I've needed one for months now.)

Got home and tried the sub number for the hell of it and it worked!! woo hoo!
 
Nice, I guess it's about time to start looking for clearances on the starter kits again since the new kits just came out.
 
I've been looking for a cheap headset as well, but I'm not really into the online play at this point (don't really have the time unfortunately).

I remember getting a brand new Live pack with the headset, MechAssault, and the 1 year sub card for $30 or so, but it looks like your deal definitely has that beat. :)
 
:lol: just realized I may not even have a highspeed connection from Fall 2006 - 6/2007. Hopefully I'll convince my folks to hook it up when I move downtown ;-)

I went to the Pawnshop. The Live kit was $25 but I talked them down to $20. Everything was brand new (It was the one that comes with MechAssault).
 
Wow, great deal OP. I got my Xbox Live Starter Kit (12 month subscription) completely free because my stepmom works for SBC and she filled out a simple survey. It came in the mail a few weeks later, and I was a happy camper.
