uh I don't get it...
It is simple. Yellowcard the rock group has songs on the soundtrack of Burnout Revenge for 360 so they designed them their own vehicle in the game.

methinks Yellowcard has sold out.

I was in Walmart the other day, and all around the store all the kept playing was this "Walmart exclusive" Yellowcard song. Now they have a special vehicle in Burnout... I'm still waiting on the Yellowcard corporate whore game. I hear EA is the publisher.

Reminds me of Black Eyed Peas. I don't recall a day in the past two years where I haven't had them thrown in my face and spat into my ears, merely by turning the television set on, surfing the 'Net or accidentally listening to the radio. The sad thing is, I remember all kinds of hype about Black Eyed Peas before they got as big as they have in recent years -- dubbing their lyrics as "brilliant" and their music as multi-genre. Yeah, right...

wow, so EA is not just whoring out EA trax, they are actually whoring out actual objects in the game too...

What will they come up next? whoring out actual gameplay? I can see it now. The next MTV-hyped up band designed track in the next burnout.

shakes head. I might have to get Full Auto to ignore this insanity since Yellowcard is obviously appealing to the MTV generation, which I passed a decade ago.

What's wrong with having specially licensed vehicles? Last Burnout had a Carl's Jr. Truck and a Madden one. I personally like it and dont mind seeing a continuation of this.

As someone else pointed out, you get to crash this car... something I look forward to very much. You can't argue with saying "screw you" to a band you hate by smashing a vehicle with its logo on it head-first into oncoming traffic. On a side note, I thought Yellowcard sucked from the get-go, and somehow they got even worse.

Madden truck ok, same-company whoring, I've grown to expect that. Yellowcard is a shitty band and a part of a shitty feature("Trax") that they're pushing on us. I hope it's not forced to be used on use in any missions, and I do hope to make it explode. Wouldn't surprise me if they disable custom soundtrack support.

Whoring games also hurts the whole "video games as Art" argument. If you load up your product with ads it dates the product. I mean look at the C&C music Factory\Kris Kross "games" to see how time can make music games look dated.

Why did it take 9 posts for someone to say this? I'm starting to lose faith in CAG.

Come on .. if your going to whore out cars.. at least do it right and use real whores. Let them make the Vivid Girls car or something like that.
