Actually, official GCN component cables do command a high price. I sold a set on ebay for $65 about a year ago. If you can find a set for cheap, it makes for nice flipping material.

someone on the St Louis CL was trying to sell a super mario bros/ duck hunt cartridge and a zapper for the low low price of $20. Hmmm probably the most common cartridge and a controller ive gotten 3 of for $3 apiece at Goodwill for $20. also saw an atari with 2 controllers for only $75. i only go on CL when im really bored at work because of all the idiots and their "i saw this on ebay" prices
 
Hold on there. I always post the straight bs... but I have found some serious deals also. I have found Earthbound in a SNES console and game lot for $25... 6 working consoles and over 50 games for $40 ... the deals are there... but the stupidity is there also.

I posted a want ad for the "PSOne" model Playstation. I get people who want to sell me the gray one. I even have a stock picture up.

I also want a pink DS Lite for case modding purposes. I figure offering an even swap to someone for my red/black one would be easier than trying to hassle with one of those aftermarket shell kits. Only offer I got so far was someone willing to trade but they wanted me to throw an extra game in with it.

Their claim was that the pink Lite is much rarer and more in demand than a red/black one.

I had to call them a liar for that. I've seen the pink Lites at local stores in heavy quantities, but they almost never have a red/black model. That tells me the pink one is NOT in demand.

I wouldn't have minded throwing in some incentive(I'm already adding 2 extra stylus pens) but they lied to me. I don't reward lies like that. They never contacted me back after that.

I was gonna buy 2 fat playstation 2 systems with 4 controllers and several hookups for $25 for both and right when I was about to go get them the guy says he was upping the price by $50 because of everyone who emailed him after me. All after wasting my whole day playing email tag.

Why no stories about dumbass CL buyers? I listed my year-old 20" iMac for a modest $900, and I got two people trying to offer $700, and one even offering $500 (when the lowest they've gone for on eBay is $850 shipped). Part of me feels like responding to tell them that they're on crack, but I just wind up deleting them.
