I would like to trade these items for a XBOX 360, Atari Computer system (doesn't work) with 15 games, Atari 7800 Prosystem (back is broken but it works) with 1 game, 1 Nintendo 64 doesen't work, with 7 games, Nintendo, works, with 2 controlers and 7 games, Saga Genesis works with case, 2 controlers and 6 games, Playstation with 1 game

How about trading bunch of old, broken consoles for a new console that's actually worth something? What a deal.

I nearly sh*t myself when I saw this, but then, the big bold print kinda spoiled it for me. The kid's father called me up after I had offered $100 for the lot (thought they were all the original games) and explained it through. :whistle2:(

As the cliche goes, a picture tells a thousand words: the differentiation between a 360 Elite and a 120GB + a Pro/Premium, legit games vs DVD-Rs, and so on.

I'm new here so I've got some really good ones

One of my favorites: I put my ad on craigslist saying I was looking for old games and systems thinking no one would even respond, but it was crazy, I kept getting offers at least once every 2 hours since I put the ad up! Anyway, a great one was from a girl who said:

"Im selling my super nintendo, I don't have any games for it, but I have been offered $150 so far, what would you give me for it?'

I pretty much told her that if someone was stupid enough to pay $150 dollars then she should sell it because I wouldn't pay more than $10 for one.

This next one is great......this guy, well..........here is the first ad he put up:

He has put basically the same ad up almost every other day since then...talking about how "rare" the atari 2600, NES, and Sega Genesis are and to "act fast because they will sell soon". Of course, over a week later and he is still putting the ad up every few days. Anyway....I offer him $20 for the Sega Master System, thinking that is a fair price since he didn't even have any games for it. He responds with "THATS WAY TOO LOW!" Just to be a dick I responded by showing him over 15 completed ebay auctions for SMS's that all ended UNDER $20 dollars.........his response :

"i have seen people in goodwill stores pay 120.00 for
nintendo systems.I don't people have it cheaper but
mine is close to mint. I appreciate your hard work in
researching but i already have some offers. ebay is
scam city, i have heard of people getting sent a

So after this email almost 2 weeks go by, and I email him AGAIN but from a different adress with the same offer and NOW he accepts it!

I think what really kills me are just the people that for some reason get this idea that things like Atari 2600's and NES's are worth more than gold simply because they are "old". 98% of the emails I get are people saying "how much would you pay for a NES or Atari 2600" and anytime I respond with offers, they just don't even email me back....and I always offer $20 for either system......How much do these people honestly think a freaking NES or Atari is worth???

Someone posted an ad for a Balrog figure from Lord of the Rings in my area. I got all excited because I have been looking for a cheap one (they go for $80 + $20 shipping on Ebay new), so I was prepared to offer $40-$50. But then they replied with "this goes for $120-$200 on Ebay". I just said never mind & left it be :(

LOL, I was at a video game store afew weeks ago and some crazy trailer trash couple came in and asked if they had banjo Kazooie for PS2, the owner told them that it was a Nintendo only release and that he had it for N64, or could preorder the new one for Xbox 360, the couple then started telling him that they have it new for PS2 at Walmart and he dosent know shit and that if he gets it in to give them a call. HE told them he probably wouldnt be getting it in soon, but that they could go get the copy at Walmart or he could sell them a N64 with the game for the same price as a new PS2 game.

Nintendo is racking in the dough by raping moms at the cost of the gaming industry. This craze can't and won't last forever and as soon as it starts dropping it will drop fast. I hope the rest of the market will withstand the aftereffects of the Wii fad. I'm not a hater but when I see that Nintendo can't make enough DVDs and cheap plastic wheels to keep up with the demand Nintendo isn't trying to keep up but working on milking every last consumer. This is making Nintendo a shit ton of money now but at what cost for the industries future as a whole?

I work for an independent game store and this happens ALL the time. It seems wal-mart has a plethora of games that never existed. What gets me is these people come in and argue with me about whether these games exist. If you don't trust the guy that does this for a living why bother asking!?

is it really that hard to find mario kart wii?!?! I worked at Best Buy when it came out and we ALWAYS had at least 100-200 copies of it in stock, I never remember running out, or not having any, and this is the first month or so that it was out! When did it suddenly become so hard to find (I honestly don't keep up with new consoles or games that much anymore so I really don't know)?

It is pretty sad though. The game was a huge letdown. The multiplayer was crap, they took off championships for multiplayer, they took off the double carting, they didn't take off that damn blue shell, it pretty much sucked except millions of people will buy it since it has Mario plastered all over it

Because it is worth more than msrp. Been on Ebay lately? I've been seeing pink DS lites going for over $200 and the games he has sell pretty good especially Tetris DS and Mario Kart. Sure it should be more around the $350 instead of $400 but it isn't very stupid. It is pretty sad that it sells for that much though
 
What?!? Pink DSes for $200?!? Mind boggling. And some dude had a broken pink DS nearby for $30, "looks great but doesn't turn on". When I found the ad it was a couple of days old, I called the number and the guy sold it already. I was going to offer him $20 and see if I could fix it.

Here's a winner, $50 for a Gamecube with no controllers or games (because the guy obviously just upgraded to a Wii). Forget paying $30 for one at Gamestop with a controller, give this guy an extra $20!
