So - the reason I'm actually here - I make a KILLING off old stuff: N64, GC, SNES, etc.

Why do I see ads constantly (here and on my local cl) of people desparately buying non-working current consoles - to have to bust their ass to fix them, so that they can resell them.

I mean - I make $200 off a $50-60 gamecube collection. Why are people offering $40 for broken PSP's and $100 for RROD 360's only to have to bust their asses working on them?

white/black, brown/yellow, parenthesis/parenthesis......
Can't we all just get along?

Check out this fool:

I have a flawless PSP Slim 3000 silver, just bought a few days ago. Dont have box, but comes with a charger, a 4 gb memory card, and a hard plastic case. also comes with umd movie snatch. Will trade with cash for iphone, or will trade for xbox 360+extras.

still have receipt, so you can still return it.

gotta love that.....if he still has the receipt and can return it, then why doesn't HE do it???

A guy posted on CL that he would buy any NES/Sega/Sony games for $1. No exceptions. So I sent him a list of about 15 games (mostly sports) that I would let go for $1. No response yet, it has almost been a week.

Shhhhh, you don't want those idiots realizing they can do what your doing for easier, faster money. Let them make their couple dollars fixing broken current gens and flipping Wii Fits.

Last thing I want is more people going around "professionally" flipping. With the economy as bad as it is, I keep seeing more and more people jumping in the ring to compete with me.

I just saw something in my CL that looks good - an 80GB PS3 for $175. Says there are no controllers. Is this a good price? Looking at new on Amazon and used on ebay, it seems pretty good to me - if it works. Will a PS2 controller work w/a ps3? (Research looks like I can use my ps2=>USB adapter - so okay). I could just plug one in and try out a PS2 game or a BD to test it, right? Oh wait - looking into it, it would have to be an older 80gb model to play a PS2 game on... I guess a BD would still work...

What cracks me up the most is the manufacture date

lol i have an old 32 inch tv just like that one (i think mine is hitachi tho) sitting out in the garage, I had no idea it was worth 350!!!!!!! gonna go cash in on that one...

roflmfao.

Actually, as a gamer, it's a good deal. Not so much as a reseller

right, thinking the same thing. Was at the Midwest Gaming classic this weekend and Zelda, mariokart, streetfighter, starfox, were all going for $15+. I love sim city and have been looking to replace it...so in the end I ended up paying $70. was glad to see the snes was mint and about ten manuals, overall was pleased.....the only game I may resell is mariokart.....I have three copies now.

fucking people think their old ass shitty tube tv is worth $300 $400 $500 dollars....NOOOO!!!!!

right, I just posted one of my 27", nice tv, worked great. Posted it for $100, hoping to get $60, guy calls up next day and says "i'll take it for $ 80, sight unseen, if it works". I tell dude ok...turns out he was my wife's cousin, so I gave it to him for $60. Ready to sell my 25" zenith for $50....(the truth is, i may be moving in a week or two and I do NOT want to move some HEAVY A$$ motherfucking TUBE tv's....again. Although my 52" sony is no feather weight with it's glass beveling, it's still thinner than a tube tv. fuck it, flat screens for everybody!

so i posted an extra Ds lite that i had accidentally purchased(i wanted another polar white), Turned out to be a metallic silver one...my fault. ended up paying about $114. So I post it on Craigslist for $115...hoping to get around $100-$105, mind you this is a brand new Ds lite, sealed at both ends...so it's fair, i think.

I'm not defending her.. but since you can get DS for $ 104 at Dell right now. I, personally, will not buy a new from "Craigslist" even at $ 100. So I hope you find someone who doesn't know about the Dell deal.

That may be true but I doubt many people using craigslist are shopping all around. It's funny that people don't use the internet to their full advantage. But I think asking $115 and going as low as $100 for what normally retails for $130 is decent. And if they want to buy from Dell they can, or try to cut a deal locally for $100, and get it right away. Just because it's $100 at Dell doesn't mean it should be $80 at CL, when most other retails still have it at $130. Just my 2 cents.

I think what it comes down to is people using CL probably don't care about new; if they can get a working used DSL for $80, that's better than a new $100 DSL (and I'm in that camp as well). If I were looking for a NEW and it HAS TO BE NEW, $100 is decent.

True.....but, majority of these people that troll craigslist (at least that I have encountered) either don't want to mees around with online ordering, or don't have a credit/debit card to pay for it....Back in February, Itried to help some gut out looking to pay $250 for a used 360 60 gb. told him about the Dell deal and how he could get one for $224 shipped with KungFP/Lego IJ, and End War! The donkey said if i ordered it he would pay me $250 for it and I could keep KFP/Lego games. So I'm not too worried about that. I have one cash offer supposedly tonight and if that doesn't pan out, I just got this offer!!!!

Would you trade your DS Lite for an erotic massage? My girlfriend gives great ones...she'll most likely do anything you want to get me that DS Lite...Kindly let me know. Thanks.

I told him to send me some pictures and asked him if the herpes, gonohrea, syphillis were included or would i have to cough up some extra dough or maybe a game or two:hot:

Haha.. Well.. $ 115 (Your DS asking price) is too much to pay for "erotic" massage, at least in my area. haha.. you can get 2 massage or 1 massage with 4 hands for $ 115.

Oh yeah, if you have a receipt for that DS, you might want to post it in the CL also. With receipt, the DS should sell close to 105. The problem with CL in general is too many people are saying that their product is new, but it's not.

Sometime receipt with serial # helps, I sold 2 X360 and 1 PS3 (all new) at CL with receipt at 20% off retail, and it usually sells within couple of days. The problem with DS, 20% off $130 is only $26, compare to $80 for PS3 and X360.

You know I'm kind of on the fence on used systems/console. Just because there is so much that can be missed when you initially "test/inspect" for like 30 seconds before you buy it from the seller. Especially with a DS. Depending on the game and where you use the touch screen, there could be an area that's not working. I recently sold a colbalt blue for $90 and it went within an hour of posting it.

Games-I would buy used if it was worth it......but not at gamestop...I would just pay the $5 more
Nice Flip!
me and my dad had to lug the thing all the way back to the house. But 2 guys came and bought it.

Chances of that happening again are slim to none

Scouting the free section pays off sometimes!

I am looking for these games:

Earthbound
any Xenogears
any Lufia
any Breath of Fire
any Mario
Chrono Trigger
any Donkey Kong
any Final Fantasy
any Mega Man
any Kirby
any Xenosaga
any Castlevania
any Silent Hill
any Street Fighter
any Marvel vs. Capcom
Worms Armageddon (Nintendo 64 version)
any Harvest Moon
Rock N Roll Racing

Let me know if you have any games relating to these titles. I will pay $2 per game! No questions asked! This is a great deal for you, the more you have the more money you will make!

I guess I need to download these to a CD and sell them for $2 each. No questions asked, right? Nor does he say what platform.

no, no receipt, I bought it on ebay(thought it was a polar white one)and turns out the seller was about 5 miles from me. I'm pretty good at removing seals without damage, but there is usually some type of sign that it was removed. This one definately looks sealed

Anyway, it should sell...there is only one other "NEW" one and he wants $125, it's the GH edition, other than that, this is my competition...

I got this Nintendo DS Lite Onyx for Christmas and never use it. It comes with a hard case with different graphics, soft pouch with storage for games - charger - and other accessories. It comes with the games Brain Age, a magic game called Master of Illusion (with playing cards), and My Spanish Coach. It is just like new!! I just don’t use it as much as it should be used.
Please contact me if interested.

I am looking to buy a Nintendo DS for my daughter. She wants one very badly, but I'm sure alot of you can understand with the way the economy is, I just can not afford to buy her one brand new. Her birhtday is March 25, I was hoping I could find one at the stores on sale for cheap, but unfortunately I had no luck. So, I was hoping someone out there would maybe have one they have not used in awhile, maybe your child out grew it or something. I would love to purchase it from you. I am hoping to get one BERFORE the 25th so I can surprise her on her birthday, so please I am asking if anyone has one cheap PLEASE let me know asap. I thank you so much for your time.

I got my xbox 360 fixed by Tyler, the repair guy over on the northwest side. He has tons of ads on here, he just rewords them so be careful and stay away from him!! i get home play my xbox for a few minutes and then the RROD comes back!! i had my cousin come open it up and check it out and he made it so my xbox is unrepairable!! he didnt fix it properly, heck i dont even know what he did in the first place. Go to somebody else on here or if you have a warranty take it to MS. maybe they will fix your xbox 360 properly.
me and my dad had to lug the thing all the way back to the house. But 2 guys came and bought it.

Chances of that happening again are slim to none

Scouting the free section pays off sometimes!
Tell me about it. I picked up some free furniture in Brookline (about 10 chairs and a table, 3 my wife actually kept, 3 sell for $175, table and 4 chairs for $180, vanity $50). Another pickup in Somerville for a "pottery barn" sofa table (sells for $160), bookcase (sells for $95) and a few lamps that are still in the garage. My favorite, some guy posts scrap wood in cambridge (a few 4x4's, 1x6's, etc.) and I say why not I always need wood. I go and ask him if there's anything else and he offers a nice big worktable and 4 white stools. I say why not considering I could use a table in my basement workroom. When I get it home I say why not craigslist, $150 for the table, $80 for the stools.

This guy deletes and reposts these ads every fucking day at least 10 times a day. Someone should shove his head in a lawn mower and voila. No more ads.

But hey, scrap metal brings cash on the table! What? you....you didn't know that? He's screwing people. He's hauling their old junk out and then cashing in on it at the yard.
Well he's left his number...I wonder what would happen if that same number was accidentally used in someone else's ad, you know, mistyped, for say, an offer of a free laptop, box of games, etc. ;)

Or perhaps another phone prank.

lol i keep seeing ads that say "must sell!!!! need gone fast!!! must sell ASAP!!! make offer!!" that are horribly overpriced

then when you make an offer (reasonable too) they turn you down.
