He does have a point though. If you want the cable fast, you have to pay for the convenience. Monoprice can't deliver them to you in an hour, so if you need them in an hour, his might be the best deal.

It may have been his fault he got laid off, but it might not have been. There are a lot of people who are good at what they do who have been laid off. Just give the guy a break.

As far as the chinese thing goes, he didn't say anything that was 'anti-chinese'. He said that buying things locally supports local jobs. I buy things online all the time, but sometimes I do go out of my way to support local businesses. The owners and employees are paying taxes in my area just like I am, while monoprice.com isn't.

Yeah I read it earlier this year. They said it was because they wanted to release their own DLC for the game (which they just announced at SDCC), but still, pretty extreme.

^Lol.. Actually, I went to Bower Museum in Santa Ana recently, and make the wrong turn (behind the museum), and it's a pretty nice place actually. It's like mini mansion type of house, more like old pasadena/san marino houses. But again, it's only 2 blocks that's nice.

By the way, did you post the rant over the fountain valley store? It's OK, but please stop directing people to VGpricechart..!! It makes other CL knows the price of their item. No more bargain here... :)

He wants to meet at a place called Dukes Burgers on Fairview and Warner. I told him I could do it at 4pm today lol. Anyone have any suggestions? He just gave me his phone number but I haven't given him mine yet. This was my plan so far

1) get him to meet at duke's burgers at 4, get him to wait as long as possible and tell him I got in a car accident and can't make it today. I'll tell him I live about 30 mins away (what's a good city/area to say I'm living in karkyco?)

2) then get him to meet at a location closer to my fake location tomorrow (which would be around 30 mins away), tell him I'm there waiting for him. when he shows up I'll say I see him and use that picture posted earlier to describe him. Then when he calls me again and says he doesn't see me I'll tell him that I left because I forgot my wallet at home

Anyone have any other ideas?

Shit, sorry I didn't see this until now. I would tell him something came up and you can meet him in Newport, say Fashion Island. Or maybe at the Island Hotel. Tell him you're at the bar sipping Mojitos.

lol I just told him I went to the wrong pizza hut and later asked if he'd be able to get a ride. He said he doesn't know. So if he gets a ride, he has to waste his parents' gas and they'll surely be super pissed at him. If he doesn't get a ride he'll be meeting with some random dude that'll most likely be pissed when he finds out his "free games" are a bunch of burned ps2 games that are trying to be sold for ridiculous prices. This is a win-win situation here (although I would feel bad for the dude thinking he's getting free ps2 games so hopefully he gets a ride to Mission Viejo)
