Tactics Ogre RARE Playstation (Saint Paul)

I have one Tactics Ogre game, the original playstation version by ATLUS. This is a very rare game in that very few copies where ever made. The disc is in good condition and has been played through by me once. It does not come with the manual or original case. I have seen used copies of this game with only the disc, in acceptable condition, selling for nearly $1,000 and up to $7,000 for a used game in very good conditon. I am not saying you will make that much if you try to sell it, just that this is a very rare, sought after game for many game collectors. I would be willing to sell mine to a dedicated gamer for $400. Due to the value of the game, I can only accept cash for game disc sold AS IS, in used conditon.

You know, I normally just laugh and scoff at people like this and simply let them be, knowing damn well nobody in their right mind would be dumb enough to pay their outlandish prices. But, with this guy's story of how "Rare" it is, and possibly worth upwards of "$7000", I couldn't resist.

There is no "special platinum coated version". Buy a cheaper version if you want. This game is very special to be and I have seen copies sell for more than that. Why bother responding if you are looking for something much cheaper anyways.

So, I responded back. This time, posing as an investor looking to make a little money in a market I'm supposedly unfamiliar with. I even went as far as to ask for proof that they actually have sold for as much as $7000.

For starters, I have been seeing copies sell for more than mine on Amazon. I'm sorry but I cannot make any gaurantees as to what a person would purchase this game for. It depends on the individual. Once the last few cheap copies have sold off ebay, I suspect there will be people willing to pay the $7,000 being asked for such a copy on Amazon but who's to say.

Ask if the original box and manual would increase or decrease the value.

Slackers is a used game store in the St Louis area for anyone who doesnt know. Im pretty sure they dont sell Genesis for $70... like that even matters cause his stuff all together isnt worth near that.

I put up a lot of 13 PS3 games earlier this morning. If priced individually from my ad they were $230 roughly, I offered the whole lot up for $120 CASH.

I got an offer a half hour after I posted it....for $75 fuckin' dollars.

Gimme a fuckin' break people. I know CL is supposed to be a 'yard sale/flea market' type place, but almost $50 off my initial asking price? Geez.

LOL Just found this thread and died laughing. I posted my collection of PS2 games up a a week or two ago, I had roughly 96 at the start, I have about 75 left, I've made about $400-500 so far. I had some that were quite rare, etc. I had a guy email me today asking me to sell him the rest for $50 no questions asked, no testing req'd. I was like...LOL ya okay /sarcasm
